I had a Christian that I went to ask for advice and they told me "kill yourself" what do you think of this?
 
I'm thinking, "What lead up to that?"

I'm also thinking, "Why did someone join a forum to ask that question in the middle of the night?"

suicide is self murder

and its a sin

now if you trust in Jesus, he is capable of forgiving even murder

but if youre dead

when will you turn to him?

also if you are currently following him

you wont commit murder

when youre following someone
if youre doing it right they lead you

and Jesus wont lead you to sin
 
though....laying your life down to protect another

isnt suicide

No real Christian would tell somebody to go kill themselves..

ok... so many troll-like statements, but I'll treat your post as if it's serious....

A Christian would never tell you to kill yourself.

If you are on this site because you are thinking of killing yourself, I suggest you get face to face professional, preferably Christian help.

If you are thinking of killing yourself simply because "no one thinks it wrong" then that suggests emotional problems that cannot, and SHOULD not be addressed in an open forum.... IMO

God loves you, and has a plan for you... you have a "spot" to fill in Jesus' body of believers... suicide is NOT part of that plan.

First, don't kill yourself. Second, I would suggest you not ask that person for advice in the future. Third, some people call themselves Christians but aren't really Christians. The person you mentioned might be in that category.
 
Suicide is wrong in Gods eyes regardless of anyones opinion on it I would suggest those contemplating resorting to such a drastic decision to seek the Lord. Jesus never said this life would be easy however he did said he will never leave you nor forsake you. The Lord will give you the strength to endure any tribulation.

Many many months ago, when I was still a newb in CC, I once stated that suicide is a sin because if it isn't, well, I expect many more Christians to commit suicide immediately after being saved or at least quite soon afterwards because technically they will get to enjoy their happy eternity in heaven sooner than if they decided to stay behind. But...there are more than a billion LIVING Christians out and about as of now, so clearly they know something that takes the option for immediate suicide out of consideration for at least the majority of people. I'M NOT SAYING THAT YOU WILL IMMEDIATELY GO TO HELL IF YOU COMMIT SUICIDE, but it's better not to risk the unknown in this case. So please don't do it.

i just disagree

i dont think an actual christian CAN commit suicide
or would ever tell someone to



kinda like a "true christian" choosing to get drunk and fornicate and murder someone else wouldnt happen

but a proclaiming christian that does all this

and doesnt die

has time to turn. to Jesus

if you kill yourself you dont
