I'm in the military, and I've been having a rough go of things recently. It's looking likely that I won't be in the service much longer, and I don't know what to do with myself. All of my closest friends are here with me, guys I've been in combat with, and I don't know what I'm going to do if I lose that support system. I guess I just don't know what to do with my life anymore. This is all I've done since I was 18. I need.... something. I just don't know what.

Won't the military pay for you to go back to school?
You can use some of your training you got to give you direction.
Have you thought about becoming a fitness trainer, physical therapist,
police officer or security at sporting events?
The last one would be fun!
Good luck! I'll pray God gives you direction!
In His service, Shekaniah

God of order and life, I thank you that you will direct this young man in the path you have for him. Show his the plans You have for him and encourage his heart that You have blessings in store for him if he will seek You with all his heart.

Brother, it is ok to feel that way for a while. But, you have learned to never give up. When you are a support system for someone else, whether in our out of the military, you will find a lot of that feeling of support you long for. God bless you.

We pray that you will maintain all your friendships ( and you will) and look forward to a different kind of life. You will enjoy new friendships to whatever new hobbies /goals that you pursue and it will come naturally to you. Before you know it , you won't be depressed because you will meet new and wonderful people during your new journey. You will also learn how to relax and enjoy the natures of the world .God Bless.

Try the Peace Corps. Other than that I can say that talking to God more fills gaps that you wouldn't normally suppose it would.

I'll pray for you.

You are still young and have many years ahed of you. So you have time to think on what you should do.

My suggestion is studies if you have the possibility to do so. Sharpen your mind and think of what you can do with all the experience you've got to make the world a better place.

Your young. go to college, it's fun, lots of women. You did your part, it's time to quit while your ahead. The next time out could be the next time you don't come home. And friends come and go. You'll never have the same friends forever.
