I am asking about your standard.
Many people say they know Christ (mormons, Jehova´ witnesses, NIV readers (oh mine!) etc).
So you must have some standard to know who knows him truly. If you think its the KJV and nothing else, then you must have some reasoning for it, not just feelings...

Exactly! Yes it does. And the first time I read the Bible in it's entirety as a young woman, it really did seem like The Lord God speaking to me. The words burned into my heart. It was the NIV. I have other translations which I like too but the NIV was my first in depth experience with his word. To this day I hold it dear. Yet it seems to come under attack by KJV "Onliers" more than any other translation.

Christ is in me, I'm born again with his spirit in me. The Christ in me is the Christ of the KJV, I"m not talking about a new nature from being saved or anything like that, I'm talking about the words that I have read from the KJV FORMED the Christ that I believe in, the Christ in me. I don't know how else to explain it.
But you asked for a standard and all I can say is my standard is perfection. That is the most basic understandings that all of us have about God, this is the one thing we all know... it grows from there into understanding more and more about his character and personality as we grow in the word.
I am regularly reading Greek Bibles and in my youth Czech Bibles.
And know what? When I was in my deep trouble, it was NIV that talked to me in one Psalm. That "worst and corrupted" English translation, even in my second language... God is obviously not bound by any print
Well we are a kindred spirit, I started with the NIV too. When I saw the NIV called Jesus and Lucifer the morning star, it confused me and in my search for truth I kept finding more and more things wrong. Then I changed to the KJV.
So its a different Christ than the Christ of Greek originals?
Because you do not care what was in originals, KJV can change originals, right?

The NIV doesn't use "lucifer". Lucifer is a Latin word. One of the things I don't like about the KJV is that they couldn't be bothered to translate that title properly from Hebrew to English. It's an important clue to the identity of the man of sin. Why insert a Latin word into an English translation? A mistake on the part of the translators IMO.
Because now much of the secular world and even many Christians think that the devil's name is actually "Lucifer" when it isn't a name at all but a title.
Jesus is the Bright and Morning Star. Satan/Antichrist is a counterfeit morning star. A shining one. (shining with false light)

It does not matter that they do not exist. You believe in a continuous perfect preservation, so the next generation of Greek copies had to be perfect too, third etc.
But you are still evading my main question - if KJV can change what was before (even originals), why NIV cannot change what was in the KJV.
You said that NIV contradicts what you know about Christ. But then, how do you know that, if Scriptures can evolve all the time? Your feelings about Christ cannot be so specific to formulate nuances in doctrines.
In Hebrew, the word Cochav can refer to one of the lights in the night sky, or to an angel of light.
Job 38:1-7
Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

the morning stars here refers to angels of light of which Satan/Lucifer was created to be one; as were Michael and Gabriel.
Isa 14:12-13
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Here the NIV uses the designation in Job 38:7 to show what Satan/Lucifer is.
Rev 22:16
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
KJV
bright and morning star here is a title of Jesus; but as seen in Job 38:7 NOT exclusively a title of Jesus.

It is not false witness for him to say what he obviously believes. I agree with you that he is mistaken; but that is another issue.
