How do we get to listening or reading the Word of GOD to DOING?
IE Why is that it is easy to KNOW about the Word of GOD yet becomes hard to DO the word of GOD?

Any secret to this? Any mindset, faith anything that can help with this?

"Of yourself you can do nothing". Just go through your life observing your thoughts and your thoughts come from two places, from above and below. AS you observe you will see thoughts of correction and thoughts that tempt you to do wrong.
Let your conscience be your guide and you will begin the doing of the word.

Who said it's hard to do the will of GOD? Christ said his burden is easy and his yoke is light.

I think the verse that says "Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it's God who works in you" shows that we put forth full effort, but we realize that God is working powerfully in us right along with our effort, and we can submit to His work in us when we feel we are faltering.

"[SUP]24 [/SUP]I’ve tried everything and nothing helps. I’m at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? Isn’t that the real question?[SUP]25 [/SUP]The answer, thank God, is that Jesus Christ can and does. He acted to set things right in this life of contradictions where I want to serve God with all my heart and mind, but am pulled by the influence of sin to do something totally different." Romans 7:24-25 The Message

Or for you old fashioned types:

"[SUP]24 [/SUP]O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?[SUP]25 [/SUP]I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin." Romans 7:24-25 KJV

Romans 7 really looks at this dilemma very clearly. Jesus Christ is the answer. If you cannot do, then you need to walk more closely with the Master and he will help you do whatever it is he has commanded you to do.

Matthew 22:37 Love the Lord thy God. This is the key to everything.

We read the word of God because you love him, want to please him and know him. The Holy Spirit working with your spirit gives you those desires. Then there is your soul that has been shaped by the world until you came to know God. Now you have to unlearn all those behaviors you learned over your life time and give into God. You along with the Spirit working with you will let go of fear, stubbornness, and thinking you must do thing in your own strength. As you let go of the old thinking it will become easier to follow the Lord.

Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what
[is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Philippians 2:5 - Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Just keep reading the and Word soon you will be doing....almost with out even realizing you are. The Word of God just has a way of working if you believe. At least that is how it happened for me. It just became a part of who I am. Go to the Word daily for guidance, hope, peace, love, direction....it has everything you need.

1 Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Take every thought captive is what this is saying in scripture.

"Take every thought captive" are what these verses are saying in scripture. watch the thoughts from below that come up that tempt if you want to overcome your sinful nature. Watch resentful thoughts and see the truth about yourselves. Be honest. This is saving

As you read and really come to know God and who he is then your walk with Him will follow where He wants you to be. The Holy Spirit will work in you and will help to strengthen your love and faith.

With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

A Good Lesson on the matter:

Matthew 25

14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Love. It is all about love, hope faith. Living and understanding it. If you truly understand love, then living the Bible becomes more comprehensible.

I find that it is hard to do anything when my mind is not made up about it. When I was a teenager, I really wanted to live a Christian life, but there were some things I was not willing to give up, so I was lukewarm, rattled the fence and it was very difficult to obey the Word of God, similar to the story of the Rich Young Ruler (Matt 19:16-22). Once I made up my mind that really wanted to be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only (James 1:22), it became easier to obey. Then, the more I developed my personal relationship with him, through fasting, prayer time, Bible study time and really being aware of how I was thinking throughout the day, and feeling (because this effects our behavior), then it became easy. It doesn't happen overnight, we have to work at it (Matt 11:29). The more you work at it, the more you love the Lord and want to obey him (John 14:15).
