Similarly, we must also better understand what Satan’s schemes and tactic are to improve the way we stay righteous and deflect any attacks with the help of our power generator, Jesus Christ. Without giving the devil credit, we should endeavour to learn exactly what he is plotting against us to effectively prepare for any of these occurrences, and it’s adamant that we will face them at some stage in our walk with God. Satan believes every word in the Bible, but he especially dreads certain passages because these Scripture have a direct bearing on overcoming his strategy to steal, kill, and destroy. John 10:10. Satan likes to attack us when we are emerging and living in righteousness and in strong faith with our Father. Have you ever seen a child when they don’t get their own way? They like to chuck a fuss and throw a tantrum because they didn’t get what they wanted. The devil does very much the same thing, and he does this through attacks that come across as misfortunes, worrying, stress,negative thoughts and incorrect labels about our own self-image. The devil will attempt to do anything within his control to “steal kill and destroy”, BUT, it is clear and concise that we as children of God have an unmerited authority over ALL powers of the enemy Luke 10:19 “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all powers of the enemy, nothing will ever harm you”. In the time of despair, worry, stress, anger or spiritual weakness you can be certain that these palpable signs show that, you as a Christian are doing something right and something that is better edifying the kingdom of God. You are refusing that the devil get his own way by being of strong faith and living in righteousness in God. You also have the power to overcome all power of the enemy; that includes schemes, tactics and negative feelings that aren’t injected internally, they are usually brought up in the world through people and the comments they make. “You’re slow”, “you’re failing”, “your figure is too big”, these are just a collection of the lies that the devil will attempt to make you feel, to sour you, and bring you down to a level fragile for defeat. But every negative thought and saddened countenance only affects you if you let it, don’t give it life by believing it.You choose and believe what you select, right? Don’t fall into a trap that will spiral to a state of depression just because of one comment or one frustration.When I was in high-school I felt as though I was inferior to achieving in the subject Art. I didn’t think I was creative nor had any artistic juices at all.One class a teacher approached me and told me I was failing because I was defeated and choose not to make any pieces. She said I will fail if I don’t hand in three images by the end of the semester. The devil woke up to this and started to scheme a plan together, soon enough I was being fed thoughts like “You’re not creative”, “You’ll fail”, and “You’re not motivated”. I asked God to lead me in this matter so that I won’t be dispirited. I started to change thoughts like “You’re not creative” to “I serve the creator of the universe, who better to ask for support”, “I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me”, and “I am enthused”. These thoughts gave me a spark, it boosted me to try and start some artworks. God gave me some creative concepts and moral of the story; I concluded all three tasks and passed the subject. I believe I accomplished this with God by exchanging my initial thoughts implanted into me externally through the world by the enemy, to positive recognition through Christ. So how about next time you are feeling defeated and second-rate, remember that they're only attacks and that they mean in a way you are doing something that is edifying the empire of God and not letting the devil get his own way.
