PrettyBelle, I don't know if its different where you are but from what I have seen and experienced, when two people who've recently met like each other, they usually call each other everyday and talk for a long time. The fact that you guys don't talk for so long tells me he may not be as interested as he should be.

I completely agree with you , Zero. I have never dated a man who wasn't interested in talking to me on a daily basis. I know people are different and all but if I was in a relationship and a man didn't want to hear from me every day then it would make me wonder how he truly felt about me. How do you get to know someone if you don't take the time to get close to them? I want my bf to be my best friend! As a single, working, home schooling mom I know about being busy. The difference is what matters to you, you will always make the time for.

As to being hurt, there is no one but God who can fix that hurt. I would lean towards being a friend until such time as he can open his heart to you. If not all I can see is you getting hurt in the end because falling in love with someone who is not ready to let their heart go only leads to heartache. I pray you open your ears to God and let him show you what to do.

Haha I guess im just weird...I mean I live with my best friend and we dont even talk everyday...

first ugly is right even if u have the same baggage he isn't ready. second remember men and women are different so what u want may not be how he doesn't. 3rd until u are serious I mean serious don't meet each others kids that's irresponsible they get hurt in the process if it doesn't work out. last did u ever think that little voice was Satan or u? I think u can feel it in ur gut what u need to do. maybe he needs to see god through quad a friend restored faith in women and he needs to heal

Meeting his kids was not my idea at all. They live with him part time and were there as I was coming over.I told him he wouldn't meet my son until I was absolutely sure he was going to be my boyfriend. I agree about not dragging children into new relationships. My son loved my ex boyfriend and it killed him when we broke up. Not doing that again.

I was wondering PrettyBelle,if this guy whom you mentioned in the "5 Things I like About You" thread (see below)
lived closer to you, like same city or state...would this dude who isn't "wooo-ing" you enough now even be a factor in your life?
1. He will make an amazing pastor one day.
2. He is handsome despite his insistence that he's not much to look at.
3.He speaks of grace and love often and posts often about both topics with great authority and wisdom.
4. Is a true disciple of Christ and goes out of his way to disciple others.
5. Would make a great husband and I really like him a lot but the long distance thing would never work out.

And who he is I will take to my grave. Muaahhhhhhhahahaha

That person is not the same as this guy and although I'm attracted to him we are probably too different to work out. We're good friends and I respect and admire him a lot.

Honestly before I met Sean I was doing just fine by myself and I am a very independent person. I like my "me and Jesus" time. I like my time alone. I don't need a man to be co dependant with. And Twofeet you are right. I have never had a man who has truly loved me unconditionally. Every man I've ever loved has hurt me in one way or another or abandoned me.

Trust me I don't want to fix anyone. Everyone has to be responsible for their own journey to healing. I have enough to deal with. I started a new position that is very stressful and have a lot of stuff going on in my own life. I battle with depression almost daily and don't complain or want to play the feel sorry for me card. God's grace is enough to get me through it.

I just think if you like someone as you claim to, then you would make more of an effort to show it. I don't want a one sided relationship.

I saw him tonight and it was nice. We have plans to see each other again Sunday night. We'll see what happens.

First, I don't know why you're wanting to talk to someone about this when in fact God is talking to you........ sheesh, I would rather much more talk to the Lord! If God has indeed spoke to you about this, the first thing you need to do is submit and obey. If God has showed you he's going to one day be a pastor, then the obvious problem is that he is indeed currently damaged and needs further healing. Sounds to me like you ought to be happy to be in the will of God!
I would personally recommend that you get complete confirmation from the Lord in a way that you yourself know it is God...... Then, once confirmed, be prepared to minister to him, because God showed this to you for reason. He will need prayer and support from you to help him not only get through his pain, but to know and accept his calling. This will also solidify trust.
Remember also, if God is in it, IT WILL WORK. You need not fret over what will happen, just know that God is in control. But more than anything else, GET THAT ABSOLUTE CONFIRMATION!

I am happy that the Lord intervened and got me to reply to Sean because I always do as He asks me to do. I am excited that God has a plan and such an awesome plan for him. I prayed about this numerous times. I also told him about what the Lord said to me about his calling and he feels that is what God placed ministry in his heart too.

I also have a close friend who has the gift or prophecy confirmed what God told me. I said nothing to her about him and she told me things about him that she couldn't have known except what the Lord showed her. She's my accountability partner and she cracks me up. We'll be talking about something and she's like " Didn't the Lord already tell you to do this?" I'm always amazed at how the Lord uses her. I've seen her talk to complete strangers and tell them things there is no way she knew about them. She said to me that the Lord sees the heart of a man and nothing is hidden to Him.

When she met her husband he was not the man of God he is today and God was like "there's you're husband". She was floored because he was smoking pot and was as far from Godly but God knew what kind of a man he would be so Terri trusted God. They are the sweetest couple and I am so thrilled to have them as friends.

If the Lord wants Sean in my life then I will do as He asks of me. I want to be in God's will in every area of my life because it's not my life- it's the Lord's. His plans are not our plans and His ways are not our ways. Sean may not be who I would have chosen but that's ok because I obviously don't see what He does in Sean. He has a good heart and is a good man from what I've gotten to know about him.
So things are looking much better than yesterday. Praise the Lord! LOL
