There is a Hollywood writers’ strike. This writers’ strike is causing layoffs. My job was one of those that has been axed. This Friday I am officially laid off. Pray, however you feel led, please. I don't want to be homeless again.
So, so sorry…. I’m praying for you, Gojira …

…and we know that our Father favors His kids and watches over them and shows them which way to go.

Father, according to Your will and in the name of Jesus, we lift up our brother in prayer so that all things will work out good in his life.

May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands. - Psalm 90:17

mostly, that you never again know homelessness. that God will grant to you gainful employment, even employment you like!

full disclosure: i'm a pessimist (recovering, i hope).
i know full well what it is to have gone through trials and to be reluctant to think God won't let it happen again. i may not be at all accurate, but i wonder if you might be feeling something similar? i know you have suffered, and not just in this situation.

but this is my thinking in your situation... God invites His people to be part of what He's doing through our prayers. since He brings you to my mind so often, i can't help but wonder if He's allowing me to, in the way of prayer, participate in His rescuing you. it's all the Lord, of course, no credit to me; He's just so gracious and wonderful that He would use the prayers of His people to bring about the outcome He planned all along.

please don't lose heart, brother. keep faith in the Lord Jesus, who loves you more than i can ever say. ♥
I'm... a bit speechless. No small accomplishment :)

1Th_5:18 "In every thing give thanks: for this is
The Will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

GRACE Word For our infirmities!

Amen.
I'm trying. But, I'm trying even harder to believe God is good and wise even in this. That is my hardest spiritual challenge right now... trusting and believing that this is what is best.

God is always doing what is best for us. Our idea of what that is often differs from God's. I can tell you with assuredness that God is using this to make you more dependent upon Him and more in the image of Christ.
Struggling to believe this is not uncommon. But the fact remains that we are all more independent of God than we ought to be and less like Jesus than we imagine.
Change is never easy but it is necessary. I used to feel the same as you. In the end, when I could finally say to God whatever You choose I will accept and desire because it is Your choice and I belong to You, it no longer mattered what He chose...everything became cause for worship.

The Lord gives, and the Lord takes. Blessed be the Name of the Lord.

Going to be very hard to cheerfully say, "Thank you God..." if I have to live in my car again... or be dependent on others... or, worse. That awful memory's still in my rearview mirror. Bringing it back after only a few years is poking at the scar. Not sure how to be content and be a total loser at the same time. Glad this prospect I am having to watch out for is not a big deal to you. I look forward to your facing it and being perfectly content in it as if you lived in a mansion.

And, this brings up another thought. Why should anyone complain about anything? Or, seek help? Or, seek counsel? If it's all the same, ultimately, both pleasant and unpleasant life situations, does that not negate the propriety of seeking any sort of help?

And, is it truly possible to enjoy something good if it's all to be put under "In all things I am content"? What's the point of having something good in life?

I find it unfortunate that you didn't receive the wisdom of what I wrote and made it personal. No one writes what I've shared without going through much tribulation. But, perhaps you would learn better from some biblical figures. Read the Book of Habakkuk. He went through a tough time and came out worshipping even though his circumstances worsened. Or there's always Job. He worshipped through his trial, learned to trust God even in death, and received a greater understanding of God and His presence.

I know where you are at. I've been in the same place...both in a position of difficulty and spiritually unsure of God. I have great empathy for you and have prayed for you often. But God does have purpose in it. He's the same God as when things were going well for you. And He will see you through this as well.

This is what faith is, standing on the word/promises of God when it looks impossible. What you're hoping for, faith is the substance of, so find a Scripture like 'God you give abundantly above and beyond what I ask or think' , confess that daily and let God do His job. Yeah, faith is hard (Abraham, Joseph) but God, our Father, honors His word when we cast our cares to Him, Believe and TRUST Him. Also, Mk 11:23-24 is great for believing for desires w/o doubting. A famous preacher was healed of 3 fatal diseases believing those Scriptures when the Mayo clinic told him he was doomed to die.
