the shadow of the earth was also passing over the moon and that will not happen again until...I believe i read 2024?...anyway it was not visible from our parts of the globe
I did see the eclipse last year...was awesome...and then I also saw alot of highly edited photos in and around the interwebs with folks claiming they didn't edit the color..it was redder in some places then others, but not fire engine red LOL!

were supposed to have a total solar eclipse next year in august. Apparently Lawrence county Kentucky is the best place in the world to see it

The full moon was nice last night, and it was great atmospheric conditions here at my place last night, so it made for some nice telescope viewing of the Moon. Aristarchus crater was particularly lovely and blue last night.

We had a bunch of dark clouds over our moon last night. I should've taken a picture. It looked very cool. You could still see the moon with the dark clouds of course XD

Weird stuff always happens with a full moon. My Husband and I were walking the dog last night and heard a lot of strange music, it sounded like an Ice cream truck, we never found the source. I'm really glad he walked with us because I thought I saw a cat and I said, hey kitty come here, he said, Jen that's a skunk. So we quickly crossed the street, lol.Yeah the one we had here was really clear. I saw it when one of my cats got out and me and my dad had to chase it.
Its in the country so yeah. Its really nice there. I live in Louisville though. But I have a heck of a lot of hillbilly cousins down there though lol. I sorta have that country draw
Bunny always tries to get outside, full moon or not lol. I must admit, however, she ussaly doesn't run. She just stays in the porch or rolls around in the grass. This time though she ran under the neighbors car.

The little town I grew up in was 7700 feet above sea level, and we lived far enough outside of town to not have any light pollution. On a clear night with New Moon, the band of the Milky Way was vivid across the night sky, and I could see the Andromeda Galaxy with the naked eye...it was a tiny smudge, but I could still see it with my naked eye and tell it was a galaxy.
That's awesome. I want to live somewhere like that. The picture I'm posting show's the obnoxious amount of light around us. It looks like I have the flash on, but I don't. Just ignore the shadowy picture of my Husband.
