Movies??? Seriously?? I was hoping for a deep, philosophical talk on how using big words seriously discombobulates some people.

I can't stand it when the only word that properly articulates what I'm trying to say is a "big" word, and I have to spend time thinking about how to shrink the word so I'm not using a 5-dollar word when a 50-cent one would do.

I was talking to a lady who had gotten two kittens from me, and she was describing their grooming habits, and I was about to refer to the "more fastidious one", but then I paused because what if she doesn't know that word, or what if she thinks I'm showing off, or what if... So I paused after I said "the more..." and she smiled all smugly, raised one eyebrow and said "fastidious?" as though she were teaching me a new word.

Sigh.

In short: Sometimes NOT using a big word discombobulates ME.
 
At least you guys have big words to use.... I don't have any. O__O

Unless I do medical talk with normal people then I have a chance!

I have. :) I like it... it's good for those of us who can't decide if we want to be near the mountains or the ocean.
 
I prefer out in the country myself... lol

I live in Oklahoma, but i have family out in the country like 45 miles away.. and they consider themselves "out in the country"

Oklahoma seems like such a nice state, plus it's shaped like a pot, and how cool is that? The best things in life are shaped like pots. Fo' real.
