Last night I was once again reminded that I am truly an outcast. Even in my own family. And now I am like one who is lame. No rest for the weary. My only friend is ice cream and diet dr. pepper.

I've never seen/tasted blue icecream before...
I just get ignored the entire time and when I try to say something either no one hears me or they don't think I know what I'm talking about. This is one reason I hate being around people.
Maybe speak louder? I sometimes have the same problem because my voice is soft or everyone else is too noisy and a lot of people are deaf or going deaf with their earbuds stuck in their ears.
I know what I'm talking about though I don't talk just for the sake of talking like many people do, though I don't talk that much. I prefer writing things down if they can't hear me.
Introverts need Quiet. It's draining to be around too many people at once.
They all speak softly which I can't stand because I can't hear most of what they're saying which is the main reason I don't join their conversations, but sometimes they speak loud enough and I have something to say and I try to project but my voice doesn't project anymore because I'm physically weak. I'm always low on energy. That's probably why they don't hear me. But when they do they often say something like "really?" And they mean it like they don't believe what I said. Like last night someone wave their hands at me and said no, I don't think it can be that. And so I said, "But that's what the court case said." Because what I said was read by a reporter right from the court documents. There was no response after that.

If they don't believe you Jesus said shake the dust off your feet and move on (from the topic of conversation) OR if you don't believe them,( like they are trying to convince you there IS such a person called 'George Glass' ) you can just say
They usually never talk about stuff in the news but this was something horrific that happened to someone in our neighborhood and one of us knows the family. They said no one knows what the motive was and I chimed in and said what the court document said. I can't say what it is because it was national news and it mentions my town.

Well when my friend went missing and it made national news nobody knew what happened to her either and were speculating all sorts of things. The inquest and coroner years later had to make a call on what happened when they couldn't find her body. Police, neighbours, and family were all implicated but it it was just a tragedy that could have or might have been prevented if someone was able to pick her up in time or take her seriously when she called the police to go home from a party where she was afraid she'd be sexually assaulted.

That's so sad.
In this case, no one is missing. It was just something crazy, bizarre and very tragic. Nothing ever happens in my neighborhood and then suddenly this. But at least it wasn't random. It seems to have been financially motivated.
Well if it made the news then everyone will have their opinion on it I suppose.That's so sad.
The loudest majority often wins in the public opinion stakes.
Even if you know the family, you may not believe it could happen to anyone you know. Also if you weren't actually there at the time (ie. an eyewitness) you may not really know what went down or the whole story.
