I don't get much likes for the songs on Smule just from the people I sang them with, but its ok. It is nice when people notice and I always thank them/heart them if I like a song.
Now could you explain the points on there cos I don't get it. Sometimes it says you get thousands of points for a song, but seems like it's completely random? What is the point of it? Is there some kind of score you are meant to reach? How does it work?
Yea I usually don't get likes except for the person I joined, but sometimes I think they post my join to a group so it gets more likes but the one who does that I've been singing with since 2015.
The points thing never made much sense to me. I think its based on how closely you hit the right notes.
If you want likes, I think the only way is to join groups. I used to think singing a lot or singing well would get me more likes. It doesn't. Some women get a lot of likes because they're pretty and they sing on video.
I haven't joined a group. Maybe you need to be VIP
I never do video either, maybe you need VIP for that as well.

Did you know Hanson are on there?! All grown up! I tried Mmmbop but the lyrics were kinda confusing.
You like Hanson? I liked that one song they did. Do wop I think. I saw them live like 30 years ago. They played at my favorite outdoor mall. It was a free concert.
I'm not sure if you need VIP to be in groups. The likes from groups are kind of fake though because the members are required to like your songs/joins, and you'll be required to like theirs too. But I never joined a group so I don't know what it's like. I only know about the fake likes because I used to belong to a big smule facebook group. Just try join one and see what happens. You can always quit the group if you don't like it.
Yes you would make a good VIP. People would join your song invites.
I think the most well-known group on smule is Singtopia Community. If you click on 'explore' then scroll down you will see 'Groups' and it's the first one shown. Just click on it and there's a button to request membership. That group is the same facebook group I used to belong to. Some of the people there are some of the original members of smule when it launched in 2013/2014.

Yes it was a small outdoor concert in the late 90s. It might have been early 2000s. I'm pretty sure I have a pic from it, but I'll have to dig it up from my old CDs. That outdoor mall is in Newport Beach were a lot of rich people live so they get famous bands to do free concerts sometimes during the summer. Yea mmmbop is the song I like. They did a bunch of songs but I don't remember what they were.
I looked through most of my old pics and couldn't find it. I think I had it on photobucket but that site is under new ownership and you have to pay to use it now.
I was going to look up what group that person was in who always gets a lot of likes on my joins, but it turns out she doesn't belong to any groups. I guess people are really liking my duet with her. (not fake likes).
