For it is written, "Repeat (the Scriptures) them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up (Deuteronomy 6:7)."
Our children are faced with a wealth of information from a young age. At that point, they are not mature enough to discern that the outcome of the world's way of living, leads to spiritual death. Social media and many educational institutions, bombard their minds with incorrect mindsets. They are taught that acceptance and self worth, must come from the approval of the majority in order to fit in. This is far from the truth of God. The Word says we were perfectly and wonderfully made, with a purpose to live full and satisfied lives in Christ Jesus, Who loves us completely. Because He laid down His life for us, we have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, completely acceptable and pleasing to Him. Our identity comes from knowing who we are in Christ Jesus. God places a responsibility on parents not only to model pure living before our children, but the truth of the unconditional love and acceptance we have in our relationship with God. A parents' guidance and input concerning the love and truth of God, is needed daily, to give our children the security and boundaries essential for them to blossom in. When we diligently teach our children about God's ways, He promises, that when they are older, they will not depart from them.[/TD]
