Lord help me not to be so Lazy! and procrastination is my worse enemy. Deliverance in the name of Jesus!

Oh no what do you mean? I know it's bad

he means 'don't be lazy or the devil will find something for you to do'

i struggle here too! praying with you :)

here, this is for us --

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,
since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.
It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

(Colossians 3:23-24)

This thread is definitely something I needed right now. God bless you both :)

Lord help me not to be so Lazy! and procrastination is my worse enemy. Deliverance in the name of Jesus!

Only if one is lazy in faithfulness toward Jesus;
(Mat 25:26)
His lord answered and said unto him, Thou

wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

(Heb 6:12)
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

I'm not sure if the Bible ever calls laziness a sin, but it certainly admonishes against it, as in these verses:

Proverbs 6:6-11 Go to the ant, o sluggard, observe her ways and be wise, which having no chief, officer or ruler, prepares her food in the summer and gathers her provision in the harvest. How long will you lie down, o sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep? "A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest" -- Your poverty will come in like a vagabond and your need like an armed man.

Proverbs 10:26 Like vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, so is the lazy one to those who send him.

Proverbs 13:4 The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the soul of the diligent is made fat.

Proverbs 19:15 Laziness casts into a deep sleep, and an idle man will suffer hunger.

Proverbs 21:25 The desire of the sluggard puts him to death, for his hands refuse to work;

Proverbs 28:19
He who tills his land will have plenty of food, but he who follows empty pursuits will have poverty in plenty.

Proverbs 31:10 An excellent wife who can find? For her worth is far above jewels.... Proverbs 31:27 She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness.

2 Thes. 3:10-12 For even when we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone will not work, neither let him eat. For we hear that some among you are leading an undisciplined life, doing no work at all, but acting like busybodies. Now such persons we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ to work in quiet fashion and eat their own bread.

Think we all have off days.there are days where I could sleep all day lol.however I guess having lil goals ahead helps a lot.and for procrastination find a job that is full on lolseriously that helps, talking from experience m8

Yes you can end up sitting on internet all day reading conspiracy stuff and finding sets of words and names which add up to 666

Pro 16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

I love this verse for those times when I'm not sure if it's doing me any good to think about whatever that's on my mind that seem like those thoughts are not productive in a Godly sense.

I think we all need a kick-start every now & then. Seems like once ya get movin' - then the adrenaline kicks in and away ya go. Tackle the things you hate doing first. :) That may be doing the dishes, or laundry -- for each it's something different. And just keep asking Him to get you motivated to get started on the things that need doing.
Elizabeth Elliott used to say, when a person starts getting sort of paralyzed by whatever down thoughts they have - "Just do the next thing." even if it is just the dishes - start with that. Gets the motor going. And you know you're doing "as unto The Lord" - which helps your communion with Him. Praise God while doing dishes or pray for others as well. Praying always beats "thinking". Always! Thinking stinks 99.9% of the time. But trusting Him enough to tell us "what should I do next?", helps us to depend on Him more - even if we feel it's just to "Do the dishes" :D
Helping others is something He uses to heal us, as well as the person we're helping. Like neighbors if we can't travel.

btw Sis, how is it looking as far as getting a car and/or job?

Praying you'll find Peace soon and a Joy in what your life is about.
Blessings!

God has given all of us the ability to seek Him, and if we say, "I'll let the scholars seek Him for me is being lazy. But there are people that look days and nights for that certain special one, their soulmate, because they has a great desire for that special someone. They use most of all their time and energy to find that special someone, but when it comes to the Lord, they rather have someone else to do the work for them. But this act shows what they desire more and desire less.

Deuteronomy 4:29 But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Deuteronomy 6:5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

However, we do need to know when down time is necessary. I'm lazy but only when everything that needs to be taken care of is finished or you reach a good stopping point. Then laziness is a treat.
