Tonight I'm leading worship for the college group I attend. This isn't new. I often lead worship for them and it's really no big deal. However, tonight we have no instrumentalist so I decided to do something a bit (or a lot) more contemplative. There will be a lot of silence. I'm used to this form of worship. It doesn't scare me. It rather energizes me. However, I will be leading a group of youngins'. Yes, I am only about a decade older than most of them, but there is a big gap between their life experience and mine. Therefore, to me they are very young and I am very much a leader more than a simple participant. Today is the first time any of them have worshipped this way and I have to explain it to them. Pray that they actually embrace it and don't just take a 30 minute nap.
 
Rev. 8:1b. [Couldn't resist.] With that age group, sometimes it just looks like they are sleeping. You never know how many seals might have been broken, or how many trumpets be sounding in their hearts.
 
You go Jordache! i also am praying for your success. Just think of it this way, if they have a hard time being quit and you cannot get them to focus this is the same situation god is in with us. He tells us to be silent sometimes so he can speak to us. he tries to get us to be still and focus because at times we are to busy to notice what he is doing. tonight when you are doing this if the kids are like this pretend you are god and they are us his children, i think you will see through his eyes
 
It went well actually though different than expected. Most people shared and it was good. God was honored and that's all thy matters. I spent all day yesterday at the church preparing for the evening. My pastor lit up when e passed through the office I was using. He was delighted that I was changing things up.
