Did you know less then 1% of Japans people are Christians??

Please pray that God uses this on going disaster to bring these scared, hurting, dying, grieving, lost people to Jesus!!


Remember, All things can be used for good for those who are In Christ Jesus!!!

Yes, Japan as a nation was isolated from the rest of the world for centuries and at one point when chrisitanity began making a foothold, it was suspected of becoming a threat to the ruling party so the samurai did battle with them who were mostly farmers and crushed the christian influence, but the christians managed to do a lot of damage to the samurai. That is how karate was born, because the christians were forbidden to have weapons of any kind so they learned how to use their hands and feet and basic farming tools as weapons.
 
Yes this happened for a reason. Japan is a proud and strong nation but they believe in their own hands not the hands of God. Pray that things will change according to the will of Him after this. I'm glad my ex host family is safe there. Not Christians, but very nice people.
 
Yes Rocco.... we should actually view this as an oppurtunity to pray and remember others and their suffering. It is also an oppurtunity to share the Word Of God with all of man kind, as It Is actually a command that we do so from God Himself.
 
wow just wow at this time you think its appiorate to pray for them to become a christian to say god made this disater so they would become christian i honstly dont know what to say since this happen and i been on here all that people said is lets pray for them okay fair enough thats your things nice to know that on some level you wish these people to be alive and safe but not one person has suggeste to also donate money other than me and i did that on the fourm and the chat room and you know what this guy said to me on the caht room "japan rich enough" really wow and they never help you out and donated money to your country, and lets look at your power of pray since it happened powerplant reactor blew up a volcano errupted weather has gotten worse another power plant damaged and now several powerplant on meltdown alert one of them reaching critical levels wow nice to see the power of prayer working if your praying japan to get worse. now lets look at something here your gona go at tell some man this "god made this happen and killed your family out of love and to show you, you should become a christian" im pretty the last thing on anyones mind there is them becoming a christian

brother its not so much praying for them to become a christian, more about standing in the gap that their hearts grief will be comforted, so much death,destruction uncertainty. Hope deferred makes the heart sick, if they feel they have no hope by the natural state of affairs life is lost to despair anguish worry etc. We as christians know that pray is the fore runner. God commands a blessing over unity, where two or more agree on the same thing in Christ, we,by faith know that God can and will do more than we ever could and abundantly at that.

NO ONE SAID GOD CAUSED THIS DIASASTER.... HIS WORD HOWEVER DOES SAY "THAT HE USES ALL THINGS FOR GOOD FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST JESUS.

THIS HORRIBLE DIASTER CAN BE USED TO BRING PEOPLE TO A SAVING KNOWLEDGE OF HIM.

ANYTHING I ADD TO THESE POSTS COMES FROM THE WORD OF GOD. THATS THE GOLD STANDARD AND GOD IS WHOM I'M ACCOUNTABLE TO. I TAKE THAT VERY SERIOUSLY... AS SHOULD WE ALL.

but do you think that is really the time to shove your belifs in when they are still in a crises do you really think its right to use a disater to promote your belifs hey if i was to promote and sell a product useing this disater to help sells you would say that is wrong what is the difference
 
It's so not about shoving any ones beliefs upon anyone. It's about them finding Him and by doing so have HOPE, PEACE, REST & COMFORT that only He can give. No worldly thing can ever compare to what He promises us.

Now, with all that said.... praying for unsaved people Is in NO way forcing your beliefs upon anyone.

Max! I agree with you compeletly. Something awful has happened in the world and instead of going, "Oh, that's too bad. Well God be with them." We can take this oppertunity to let them know that they are safe in God's arms! People believe the most when they've become helpless. Why do you think it's a cliche to pray on planes? :) In my Bible are a few verses related to natural disasters, here they are:

There's an inference someone believes this [this = disaster].

I'm typically against emotional pleas, right from despair to jubilation, but not neccessarily emotional motivation to have an ear open when people are most receptive about what their lives mean; Its usually a good opportunity to learn.

Seeing a possibility for good in bad omen's shouldn't be barked at, though better to act than to wish ;)
 
I listened to a sermon by Art Katz last night about the church in Japan, and how they were Japanese 1st, Christians 2nd, and lost a big chance to preach the Gospel during and after WW2. Very interesting. I've linked it below.

hey wikedflee hey all, it is no secrete that the Lord punishes nations as a whole for what ever reason may be, the main reason we see in the bible is for living in sin and not believeing in GOD, we as christians have had the oprotunity to see that thier is much work to be done, with or with out disaster, dose God use disaster and punishement as an eye opener he defenetly dose its no secret either. Today is the day of salvation if the japanese see our chiristian good deeds and such as money prayer and any other donation possible then we may be on a start to winning more souls over for God, easier said than done no one said its easy its a spiritual battle but we feel the pain in the flesh, god bless japan as a whole and may his will be done to everlasting and everlasting amen
 
i will boldly say God caused this disaster and if it was not him then he gave the authority for it to happen and any one who doubts that the lord is loving then he should not doubt that he also and can be angered, read the scriptures
 
Christianity started to take a hold in Japan, and could have grown.

Unfortunately that was in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The civilian areas that are the only places to have atomic weapons dropped on them in human history.

Oh man... this made me laugh out loud. So much was wrong with this post, I don't even know where to begin.
 
I am sure that God is working in their hearts right now. With the aid that is being provided (including those risking or more than risking their lives to undo the nuclear crisis) God is using so many people to do his work in this horrible time of crisis.

God, i lift Wolfywolfs up to you in prayer, and i ask that you work in his heart and show him your love and your light and your joy. I ask that you break down barriers that separate him from the truth, and the love that you provide for ALL of your children. You are holy God, and you work miracles through all things. I thank you for bringing him to cc and for opening his heart to you. I also thank you that you have done, and continue to do these things in my life, and that you are the way the truth and the light. Wolfy - prayer for the people in japan is needed. The horrible disasters that have befallen them can only bring them more strength. *i have faith in that one*

The origin of the word Passion, is latin pati - which means "to suffer". And i dont know about you, but i know that anything that i really feel passionate about - i have, am or will suffer for.

It is thru that suffering that we are able to see greater more wonderful things in life.

At times, God's love can be easier seen when all of our complacent guards are down. Now is a WONDERFUL time to be praying that the people in Japan are able to see Jesus Christ.

He is the love of all loves and the bringer of truth and the only true good.

Praying for their salvation is an act of love, not one of competitiveness.

Prayer for the salvation of someone, anyone, and everyone who does not know that AMAZING love that Jesus gives - is prayer that is done because once you live in the light of the truth of God, you pray that God will take the reigns for anyone and everyone on this earth so that they may see LOVE, and so that they may experience TRUTH.

I understand the defensiveness - but prayers for salvation are not attacks, they are acts of loving kindness.
