Let's take a look at this song. Is there a "hidden" Christ message in here somewhere? Let's find out!

Think about the crucifixtion

"Don't look at me"

I'm sure Jesus didn't want people to see Him on the cross, in His humanity.

"Every day, is so wonderful
And suddenly, it's hard to breathe",

Being able to serve and bring others to His Father must have been wonderful (and still is); yet when on the cross, it was hard for Him to breathe (you had to push up against the cross, or whatever you were nailed to, to breathe)

"Now and then I get insecure
From all the fame, I'm so ashamed"

In His humanity he could have been insecure at times. He knew what would happen, but He still sweat blood in prayer about it.
He also escaped from large crowds a lot of the time, though I don't know if He was ashamed of this...maybe because some, like His brothers, wanted to see miracles instead of Him?

"I am beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring me down"

Definately true. Nothing could bring Him down from the cross. He had to fulfill His mission.

"I am beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring me down, oh no,
So don't you bring me down today,"

Same. He couldn't be brought down until all was accomplished...so not today.

"To all your friends, you're delirious
So consumed in all your doom
Trying hard to fill the emptiness
The piece is gone and the puzzle undone
That's the way it is"

Maybe from the perception of the disciples it seemed like this. I mean, man, talk about someone who knew when they were gonna die! (literally). They didn't understand what He was saying to them until after the "doom" was over.
He emptied Himself and took the form of a servant. People may have thought He was trying to claim to be God in order to "fill His emptiness."

"When the sun is shining through
Then the clouds won't stay"

This should be, "when the Son is shining through."
The clouds won't stay because He'll come on a cloud of glory in His Second Coming.

"And everywhere we go
(everywhere we go)
The sun won't always shine
(sun won't always shine)
But tomorrow will find a way
On the other side"

As said by the Spirit in the Scriptures, the sun will indeed burn out, and will not always shine.
We will be on the other side (Heaven) by then.

There are repititions I missed, but don't let that bring you down. Just look it up at CHRISTINA AGUILERA LYRICS - Beautiful .

(Note: This is meant to be taken tongue-in-cheek, but it is actually suprising how it parallels with the account of Jesus's life, death, and ministry. In pretty much every song you can find something alluding to God, good or bad. Try it!)

After carefully reading this post, I have a look on my face right now, that would be very hard for one of the emoticons on this site to match.....

Sorry, after looking at this again I guess it's not really "tongue in cheek" at all...I guess it was when i started it, but not by the time i ended it...
