Another what?
i think sometimes we forget that there are many people who are so beat down by thier sin, thier failures just the poor decisions they have made in life, they really do need to Hear about Gods Mercy, before we can start teaching righteousness. im in NO WAY a supporter of the gog, as anyone in these forums can tell you. its a fine line between speaking the truth that God is good, and then saying " God is so good, he is not calling us to repentance"
i think alot of folks that get pegged as " teaching sinless perfection" really arent, they are just speaking about the importance of obeying Gods word through Christ Jesus. while at other times alot get pegged as promoting sin, when they really are saying " God is good" im not sure this articulates what i was trying to say but maybe this will help
1 corinthians 3:1-3" And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?"
some need the milk, without denying that solid food exists and is the goal to grow into, because if we deny the truth of righteousness, well never grow up. yet, some are not there yet.
Hebrews 5:13 "For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant.
I think it's brothers picking on sissy nite.

Pretty much no one's mentioned any sissies. I know I haven't.
The problem is those who reject even the milk to the point of defaming Christ and stand in defense of heretical teachings and teachers. Some have been at it for years. They don't want the milk and they reject entirely that sin even exists as part of the Gospel. They reject everything but the feel good stuff. They aren't babes, they are wolves.
I completey understand brother, i truly do with clarity what you are saying. i agree also, its not that i dont its been a point of frustration for myself for over a year here. i guess what im saying is theres a huge difference in teaching against the truth, and speaking another part of the truth. heretical teachings should be called out, and corrected. But some of the fold is just getting into the church, and a person who has lived a life of sin and has reached a point of conviction, need to Hear the truth of Gods amazing mercy, His willingness to forgive them, while at the same time the message should never be " forget what Jesus said about obedience, grace is all" because that isnt true. Jesus Christ is all, and Grace is one wonderful aspect of Our Lord and Savior.
some just arent there yet to the point they can accept or digest solid food that makes bones strong. they are those we need to be careful in many ways with, not to feed them milk with poison in it by telling them nothing else is there, and also making sure that Gods mercy is an equal part of our Faith.
im not sure im able to make clear my thought here, i hope i am. God bless you, i really enjoy much of your posting here, Keep sharing !!

Why sure it does saint, when the Lord does something that doesn't fit the pigeon hole we put him in ....we might want to tend to ignore it....or worse yet....say it was the other guy![]()
Agreed excepting that the majority fighting truth on here aren't novices. Instead they're those who have been around and should know better.
Ok how dose being told the truth further abuses a victim of lies or a liar.I have to disagree with this.
I have worked with Sex Offenders and Child Molesters for more than a quarter of a century. I would bet you hold to making sure "the truth" is known, no matter what the cost. That's Biblical, most would say. I say it is not.
In my court work, I have seen children so FURTHER abused by the self-satisfying obsession for "truth", that it is nearly unbelievable.
So, I have to say that a virtue I live by is that innocents should not be injured just to feel that we did our duty to "get at the truth." Such a belief, to the best of my knowledge, cannot be found anywhere in the Bible. Does that make it wrong to espouse?
I get you. I totally agree. I wasn't even saved when I got here, and to be honest, what I would suggest a new believer do is run far away from BDF or look for some kind solid believers here to chat with personally. There are tons here less coarse than some of us others. You for instance
I was SO confused and all over the place because of BDF. Not to mention terrified. I had to finally just pick up the bible and see what it had to say for myself instead of listening to all the debates here. I also was able to hear from some sound brothers and sisters via PM and chat who were able to give me little bits at a time and pray with me and that helped tremendously. What I needed at the time was to hear about God's mercy and grace. Definitely.
I was just trying to make a distinction in case you, or anyone else for that matter, didn't see where me and some others are coming from in some of our posts. Speaking for myself, I'm not trying to be mean to anyone. But I will stand and defend Jesus if his character is being maligned and corrupted by half-truths or flat out lies.
I also get you about the sinless perfection and sin all you want accusations. I get both a lot, which is kinda funny. Some see me one way and others see me the other. Strange, but true.

Ok, let me clarify what I meant about putting a label on your beliefs.
You have beliefs right?
Whatever they are, and whichever ones you have, you have them.
Right?
Ok, you can put a label on them, or not put a label on them.
Putting a label on them doesn't change them... it's just a label.
With the label, or without the label, your beliefs are still your beliefs.
This is all I meant.
And like I said, I don't think it's any big deal either way.
Now Potters if you had said this...,i would hand you a mirror....
But it just might be taken the wrong way if I offered p4t one.
If you ask the victim to relive their abuse or tell you what happened to them in your "search for the truth" that can be very damaging.
