Life after school? How will i know?

How will I find out what God wants to do with my life? I still have no clue what I truly want to do after highschool. I feel lost at the moment :(
 
Well like you there have been sometimes when I have wondered about my life, but if you ask God to lead you and show you the way, He will help you out coz He said ask and you shall receive. God bless
 
Don't worry about what God wants you to do so much. The worry might drive you crazy. Just be a good person, keep in your faith and everything will go according to plan.

You're young, you are going to have ups and downs, but things will work out.
 
I'm in the same boat, guy, but there came a point where I stopped for a moment. I figured that God would tell me in due time. I do have an idea of what God wants me to do in my life, but between here and there is very far. You may not have the opportunity that God wants you to take until after high school, or it could happen tomorrow. Just be eager to hear Him and listen to what He has to say. Listening is key (very much so) to this. He WILL reveal His will to you if you ask Him to.

it took two years in college before i figured out what God wanted me to do. . . . . .its a whole year later and i'm STILL not exatly doing that job (gotta work up to it) but you'll find it.

it takes every body part to make a body.
 
You're young! You have what, two more years of high school before you finish? If you can, please consider going to a university. If you're not sure what to go for and you're in the U.S., go to a Community College and take liberal arts classes. Doing this will give you a 2 year jump start (A.A./A.S.) on a 4 year B.A./B.S. or at least save you a lot of money!

In retrospect, I could not comprehend where I am at this moment in my life when I was 16 years old. The experiences the Lord has provided me have shaped who I am. My advice:

1) Be patient! Do not be anxious! (This is the hardest thing to do)
2) Keep in [meaningful] prayer. (No earthly being is going to tell you what God's specific plan is for your life.)
3) Be vigilant of how your Christian friends and family perceive you. What do they believe are your strong points?
4) Remain humble (nobody's perfect), and acknowledge continually that our righteousness comes from Providence.

This list could go on, but that should get you started.
 
God did put dreams in people, find out what those dreams are that God put in you and go for them!!! Don't be nervous, unsure or uncertain... God is absolute... Be like Jesus!!! Prayer is what you need, PRAY a lot!!! Also have faith!!! Seek His Righteousness and all things shall be added unto you!!! Good luck!!! Let me know how it goes!!! I pray That it goes well!!!
 
I went through a similar experience through high school. I had no clue what I wanted to do, yet others seems to think I needed to know by the time I left. I would find something I thought I wanted to do, then drop it for something else. I didn't actually start thinking about college and filling out applications until the last semester of my senior year (which is late when a lot of people have filled them out the end of our junior year and were already accepted by this time).

About 3 months before graduating, I still hadn't finished applications for a college, and was trusting that God would put me where I should be. About this time my pastor came to me with a bible college he thought I should look into, which is where I happen to be now. If you trust God he'll put you where you should be.
 
As folk are advising, Rovot, don't over - concern yourself regarding plans right now.
Stay on the journey which stretches before you, guided by your faith, & little by little your God will reveal all to you.
I graduated @ 26 knowing what I wanted to do but not where &, 'though I've never had a full-time role with the Church, I feel my God has always kept me close by.

Concern yourself with learning from the 'University of Life' & the other pieces of the jigsaw will fit together.
 
Thanks for all the responses, everyone. I actually have considered getting a head start in college while I'm in highschool. I will continue to pray and live my life with no worry, knowing that my prayers and faith in God will reveal what His plans are for me. It feels great having a place where other Christians can help out each other outside of church :)
