I went to a Christian college for undergrad. I've seen people who immediately got a boyfriend/girlfriend, and get that ring by spring. I even know one girl who married at the end of her freshman year. She's divorced now. Being mature is different than finding oneself. A person can have a great head on his/her shoulders and still be unsure on the direction he/she wants to go.

I know the direction I want to go. Marriage! lol. But like I said, since I haven't found anyone it isn't even a problem yet. And really, it is about faith and commitment, not knowing oneself. Thank you for your concern :).
 
I'm not a fan of 'church is a dating service' type of thinking. If your goal at church is to meet someone then perhaps God is withholding anyone from you on purpose.
Now notice i did not say it's wrong to meet someone at church. Nor did i say it's wrong to hope you do. I said if that's your intention on being there. So no word twisting, or half reading, as an excuse to jump on me. Church hopping to find a spouse, for example, is a perfect example of what i mean.

Ideally it seems if you're spending so much time, and have so much intent, on marriage then your priorities are out of whack anyways. The Great Commission doesn't mean to commission a spouse, after all. =P
