This is the forums, not the live chat. Forums you leave a post and people who respond can take minutes or hours, depending on topic and how busy the site is.
There is also a real time chat. You need to download the chat app for this. But the choices it'd available are very limited and many have trouble installing and running it.
The app is Not needed for forums.
