I have been single for several years and have chosen to stay that way until my children were grown. My daughter will graduate from high school this year and will bbe moving off to college. It has just hit me that I will be alone. Would like to find someone that I can build a friendship with a strong christian basis. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
 
Church and bible studies are the ideal place. Or if you're desperate Christian dating sites. This site, and the Singles forums here aren't really a meeting grounds, though. Its discouraged to treat it as such.
There are a number of us here in the Singles forum who are pushing 40, or pushed past it already, haha. We tend to focus more on being content and single. Might be something for you to join in.
 
Indeed...this really isn't a meat market sort of place. *waves hand @ pushed past 40* I am elderly & content. LOL

Dude, i'm only a few years younger than you and already trying to fight off feelings i'm old, don't make it worse by calling yourself elderly. Or i'll start posting Debbie Gibson songs in the metal thread to spite you =P

Hmm.. well, apparently you keep up with 'Deborah' more than i do.

Haha, yeah, because 90% of peoples concepts of long beards aren't on old people or anything. (God, Santa, Si and Phil from Duck Dynasty, those 2 crazy old coots from Swamp People, old homeless people.. the list goes on.. ) haha

Well when I had cable tv,she seemed to be appearing in every other sci-fi original movie. She even did one with her rival Tiffany! lol
