Hmm... I do all that stuff, but it hasn't worked out for ME like that. 48, still single.

Good thing too. Some people not only don't need a spouse, don't want a spouse, but a spouse would actually HINDER what they need to get done where God has put them. And I don't just mean mission trips to foreign countries or holding revival services. There's lots of good little Christians doing what they can to help people in situations where having a spouse would get in the way.

"God will bring someone to you." Some people are thinking, "Why on earth would you curse me like that? What did I ever do to you?!" :p
Totally agree.
All under God's sovereign plan.

Christians again seem to ignore Paul's advice in Corinthians about unmarried women being happier, and caring for the Lord not the world or how to please their husbands

Probably justify it by thinking 'I'm not a Corinthian, so that doesn't apply to me' or some sort of mental gymnastics.

You want us Christian ladies to be happy, right?

Why would we want to be your wife, and be in bondage? ie not free.
What is a good reason to have your children?

uh. whatever.

I have no idea what you mean.

You like money don't you. Mr brasspenny. Or do you love money? Something about the love of money is the root of...something something.

We had a girl on here who was sexually assaulted. It wasn't love. It was rape.

This is what we women have to put up with, predators. Cos this is how a lot of men approach women. They pretend to be Christians, then expect Christian women to put out for them under guise of finding love.

How do I know..happens all the time.

Self-control dude. Ever heard of it?

Well thats good to know for someone with a pic of a coin on their avatar. Unless its not money and you like it for the head that's on it..IDK

@Lanolin what it represents, is something low and cheap. That there is a $0.01 piece. And, it's not even clean or new. It's all dirty. Laying there on my home made computer desk.

See the year on it? It's also old.

Ok, don't have to shout, but a lot of men don't understand what consent means, when dating.

Also, when married, think it's their right as well to rape their spouse.

Just sayin'

Ok well, if its dirty money and you don't want to launder it, then IDK. Being cheap isn't that attractive either.
I'm sure I have a few old 1 cent and 2 cent coins in a piggy bank somewhere, that are ancient and you can't even use them anymore.

Everything is digital these days. So the thing with counterfeit money is moot now. A lot of it is just fiat money i.e credit and not even real.

I advise to never get married, because when do, you have set yourself up legal problems. It's making a contract with the government. And, it's better to be with your man/woman without being bound by laws like this. Because like your saying in your situation, you can just leave and it's over. Don't do the Marriage. It's the same thing, but better. You just need God to say, that it's ok with him.

My Lanolin Gold is referring to lanolin, not money lol

It's the colour of the lanolin.

Yes the sheep, I talked to you about it before.
But, yes the money, the wealthy the looks don't matter. What matters is what is God's plan. What is he's idea. You only need he's permission. But even if he said it's ok, he would like you too, don't mean you have to. God gives you free will on that.

Brasspenny, are you talkin about fornication, or being good friends like the Jesus wants men and women to be .ie brothers and sisters.

Cos I (myself) treat everyone like brothers and sisters on CC. You could be older or younger, don't matter. You a believer, you're a friend. Jesus laid down his life for his friends.

Even in church, some are way older than me, married or no. They are friends. That is the best relationship to have with someone. A friendship.

In this day and age, most of us is free. No one is forcing anyone to get married.
So enjoy current status. If single want to look, go look. If not, don't look.
As long as we try to live a pure and holy life, worthy of salvation.

All the men saying this fail to account for the idea that marriage is practically a universal idea not one our government came up with. We've corrupted marriage terribly by making it about our feelings and happiness instead of a committment to God, our spouse, and our community but that doesn't mean God's ok with acting like we're married without actually binding ourselves in marriage (all those marriage laws make it cost a lot more to get out which is the whole point). Just leave and it's over is the antithesis of what god intended.

And what did I say about PERMISSOIN? If God said do it, it ok with him, THEN YOU CAN DO IT. The modern day marriage laws and system is not they way it worked long ago, when all they did was tie a bracelet around your hands. Don't CHEAT.

Do any of you every talk to him, and also listen to what he says to you?

I definitely talk to God
I know marriage is a huge endeavour because it entails a life together and there's all sorts of rules and regulations surrounding being married. Property, finances, a will, children etc. Your name changed. Duties, obligations, responsibilties, in-laws etc etc.

So it's not something to be undertaken lightly. You need to count the cost before you build.
