I'd also like to just say, in some churches, marriage is treated as a holy state i.e Holy Matrimony
But you know, people of other religions also get married.
Unbelievers marry. Moonies marry in mass ceremonies. There's polygamy, (which is in the Bible) - Jacob, leah and Rachel anyone?
There's now same-sex marriage which is legal in some countries.
There's defacto relationships that are treated like marriage after 2 years.
There's annulments in case you made a mistake.
So when people say they want to marry, it's not just a wedding and honeymoon they have in mind.
But you know, people of other religions also get married.

If you want to be loved and love, it's very simple, and you don't need to be married to experience love and devotion in its purest form. Ideally its between two and lifelong and there's vows etc.
But in this day in age, marriages are fraught with difficulty and hardship, because of the cost of living and people's expectations. I wish it weren't so, but we definitely do not have it as good as the baby boomers had it - with housing and free education and healthcare and steady jobs etc.

I know that a God who always affirms your preferences and views against the clear counsel of scripture is a god that you've created in your own image which is an idol and not the God of the Bible.
Fortunately God has given me enough wisdom to know that people who are much more focused on all the risks and potential losses in marriage are people that no one should be dating.
Dating in my world is just going out and getting to know a person, and doing a fun activity.
I know people date for other reasons, but that to me is what it's about.

Anyway, people should know that not everyone is going to 'make partner' if you going to do that you may as well study to be a lawyer, then you can have an income as well.
