Today is my first day on Christian chat. Glad to find others in the christian community to talk to. Looking for encouragement and support. I've been married for 20 yrs and my husband and I just decided on divorce. It has been a rollercoaster ride for the past 5-6 years. Part of me is relieved that the rollercoaster ride is over although I am utterly crushed. Trust is gone due to his infidelity. God is carrying me through this, but hoping total to others who've been through this.

I am sorry to hear that you feel crushed by your life's circumstances,
but understand the reasons why. Quite a few people come here with
similar stories, so hopefully you will find kindred spirits ,and people
to lend their compassionate ears, and a helpful word or prayer, so you
will not feel too alone as you move forward with your life.
 
I can relate to the feelings of relief to the end of the roller coaster while at the same time being crushed. My soon to be ex was so difficult to get along with at times that I longed for divorce. But when I discovered his girlfriend, I was utterly crushed. Even after all of our difficulty, I thought he was my forever man. I'm still crushed, but I'm resolute. I'm not going back unless God performs a miracle in his heart which is highly unlikely as he despises my faith.
 
Pretty sure Divorce means You are going to hell based on the Bible. But that's okay. You can sit with the preachers who rape little boys that are also down there.
 
Thank you. Sounds like you're going thru exactly what I am. I believe God has a plan for my life. He is showing me I need to depend on Him. We have so many memories, but I agree with you that there we many times in this rollercoaster ride I just wanted it to end.

I came here looking for support, not judgement. You might want to read the part in the Bible where Jesus says, "Ye without sin can cast the first stone!" Also, read the part where divorce is not a sin if adultery was committed which is the case here.

I do not think he is concerned about the Bible,but he is like millions of others that are disappointed in the religion of Christianity,with its hypocrisy,and there is a lot of people that claim Christ that do get a divorce and it was not because one of them cheated.

He is upset because they do not play according to the rules of the Bible at times,but do wrongful behavior,and tolerate it.

Jesus said hypocrites do not belong to Him,so their bad actions do not reflect on Christianity,because they are not part of it.

But they do not care,but want to blame them all for what some do.

There are people that are prejudice,and want to be against all of them,although there are decent folks in those ethnic groups,but that is the way the world operates,some people do not go by some do right,some do wrong,but will be against a whole ethnic group,or Christianity,and ignore that there are decent folks there,you cannot blame them all.

They do not want to understand the Bible that it states that there will be many hypocrites at this time,and hypocrites do not belong to the Church,so their bad actions do not reflect on the Church,for the only ones that can belong to the Church is those who act like Jesus,being loving,and the Church cannot be blamed for worldly people that confess Christianity,for they are not part of it.

Unless he is only mad at some,but it does not appear the case,for he seems to be directing it at everyone,and he does not even know them,and what are we to do,leave the Church because of him,and stop being a Christian,for we will not do that,for Peter said to Christ,where else shall we go,for you have the words of eternal life,and we all do not agree with the hypocrisy,but we will not give up being a Christian,and he does not know if we do not tolerate.

God said in a great house there are some to honor,and some to dishonor,and do not associate that are involved in the hypocrisy.

They judge all,but they do not know all that claim Christianity to do that,for there are some that do right.

Dear Lord I pray that You let them find a common ground, where love heals all wounds. May Your Holy Spirit speak to their hearts, validate their feelings and teach them Your ways. May You mend her broken heart and fill every empty space with Your love. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
