Webster's defines "probation" as a situation or period of time in which a
person who is starting a new job is tested and watched to see if that person
is able to do the job properly.

By no stretch of the imagination does that define biblical salvation; yet there
are people who sincerely believe it does.

The common Greek word translated "salvation" is soteria (so-tay-ree'-ah)
which refers to safety and rescue. Well, needless to say, people on
probation qualify for neither until they've proven themselves worthy. In
other words; people on probation can't lose safety and rescue simply because
they have yet to obtain it.

That angle lacks the element of safety. It would be like the Coast Guard
rescuing people from a capsized boat only to leave them on a deserted
island in the middle of nowhere until the government decides what to do
with them.

Yes,once we are saved by grace through faith,GOD seals us and keeps us and we are HIS workmanship created In CHRIST JESUS unto good works.
