Maddy, I'm so sorry. I, too, have had a miscarriage; two, in fact. It's hard to process, but it's possible. PM me if you want to chat. I remember after my first I was in denial. It wasn't until after losing my 2nd baby that I really considered it. My sister-in-law, a cousin, and I all found out we were pregnant on the same day. After I lost baby #2 my sister-in-law and cousin went on to have theirs. To twist the knife
even further, my niece was born on my due date.
I went to a bible study on the day I started miscarrying. The pastor shared what was going on because I couldn't even open up my mouth. The whole group laid hands on me and prayed. It was the beginning of a healing which I'm still going through almost 2 yrs later. Some days are harder than others.
Some people will try to convince you that you're overreacting and to get over it. You don't need to listen to them. Your baby was just as much a life as any other baby. Yes its very common, but that doesn't make it hurt any less. Part of my healing came when I chose to overlook anyone's criticism and name both of my children. My child that would have been born in Sept of 2010 was named Samuel because regardless of his age, he was dedicated to the Lord. My 2nd who was due May 20, 2011, was named Dominic meaning "from the Lord".
A friend of mine lost her baby at 8 months gestation. Yesterday was her baby, Annalisa's, first birthday. The loss will continue to resurface, but it does get easier though sometimes it doesnt feel any easier.
I write my boys letters, cards, poems, and songs sometimes. They will forever be a part of me and I can't wait to meet my little ones in heaven some day.
