Hi All,
I am writing to you to ask you to pray for my very lost very confused sister. She's been this way most of her adult life. I thought actually that things were looking better for her both spirtually and in all other areas about 2 years ago but not so much any more. She has stopped believing in the good things and good people in the world. I know that they are hard to see, but that doesn't mean the world is out to get you. She doesn't even pick up her bible to read anymore as far as I know. Often she tells me that she talks to God but she wants him to answer immediately and gets mad when he does not. This is not the way he works. As children we were raised in church but she has somehow gotten away from her faith.
My entire family lives "of"the world instead of just being "in" the world. By this I mean, the addiction that I had (alcohol) I did whatever was necessary to overcome it. While I haven't had a drink in 10 years everyday is still a struggle. Though I have asked my sister (the one I'm requesting prayer for with this post) is she would stop smoking pot if Jesus himself came down from heaven and asked her too and she she flatly replied with a "NO!" Since that moment I have greatly worried about her. I worry about my siblings everyday.
Please pray that my sister will come to see that God is what she needs. That she will one day rely on him and not all these other substances that she turns too.
