I am new to this page, but I am in need of ANY prayer. With what life has thrown at me, divorce, unemployed for ten years and raising two children alone, being a single dad is hard, but life is worse. I have BEGGED for God's direction, His strength and still I am at the end of my rope. PLEASE give me direction! Where do I turn that I haven't already tried?
People, I am losing it and I don't know how much more I can take before I finally give up...
Help me.....

He is there. Even if it feels like He is not. He planned you before you were born and he has plans for your future and your joy. Yes there will be hardships and pain, but God is merciful and faithful and He never leaves his children. We are told to cry out to our father in heaven and that He will respond, we just have to keep in mind that sometimes the reply is not in the storm, but in the whisper.

I will pray for you, your family, your situation! I know it's hard and you have been patient for a long time and seems as if you've tried different things all these years and now you want to scream out. Please know that you are not alone and that no matter how bad things seem to be, you have God on your side and nothing can come against that. Sometimes I have felt like maybe my purpose in life is to be a mom and be an example to my kids and show them, teach them from my mistakes and maybe God has a bigger plan for them. I hold on to that a lot because I know life has a way of tearing people up. Just remember what role you have as a father and what you are teaching your children. I know you have faith from your post. If you need to talk and vent then please do it. Its ok to feel. We are here to help each other out and encourage one another! Pray for each other. Hang on!!! I know God is moving and everything will ok.

I'm praying for you. Just a few days ago I felt like I was literally losing my mind as well. I couldn't get away from it (depression), and so I just cracked open the bible and landed on 1 Peter chapter 3 - chapter 5 (it was like 2 pages in my bible). It speaks about sufferings. I read it out loud every time I felt my heart sink, and I now keep a permanent bookmark there so I can read it out loud every day. Gods word has power. Power to lift a dead spirit, power of hope and faith.


They can't stand it when the power of God is spoken. So hold up the sword God gave you and fight back.

Prayer sent brother. My advice? keep doing what you are doing. With one tiny addition. Do not fear. Keep praying and then after you pray, thank the Lord for hearing your prayer. Obediently love Him and turn towards your children and cover them with love and peace. Enjoy your day as if nothing was amiss trusting your God to open the right door. God bless you and your struggle brother. Sometimes we endure such dire situations just to witness the glory of God.

Naw, don't lose it, brother!!! Don't do that! Let's help get you through this!

I know you are going through a tough time. The night is dark, I know. But you did the right thing to reach out like you did. Remember in God's word when He said that He's the author and finisher of your faith? I know this is easier said than done, but have faith. And believe. And it shall be done unto you whatsoever you ask in faith! Please believe that! What seems impossible to man, IS possible with God!

My brother, don't lose hope. Keep reaching out as often as you need to. Don't let go. We are here for you.

Don't give up, you can do this. God will never put more on you than you can handle. I'm sure your a wonderful father and your children love you and so does God. He is always there for us. Give your burdens to Him. I will be praying for you!

In Jesus, its not always about what one expected life to be, but the streangth, care and love given in Jesus, to take what ever life is, and have victory over it.
