The Bible teaches us to love EVERYONE. I was doing the dishes and I was thinking, how do we love our enemies? People who have done wrong to us. What kind of love is it? Yes if they came to me needing help or something I would do it, or if something happened to them I would care for them etc.

I prayed and asked God to teach me to love the way that he loves us, and to teach me to have affection for them. I know God will answer my prayer, or already has.

What do you guy's think?

Try not to hate your enemies is a good start. Like leave the anger to God, say a prayer for them and forgive and FORGET. The last part should be pretty easy if you don't get to see that person like EVER!

I know what it's like to want to almost hate someone. I used to be the world's worst grudge holder, actually. One day I just realized I had to do better. God forgives us when we ask for forgiveness. I have to do the same. And in situations where there is no apology, I forgive them anyway. Life is too short to hold anger in. Just like following God's will in everyday life can be hard, so is letting go of hurtful things that people can do or say to us. It's one struggle that Christians have to face.

Loving are neighbor as ourselves is difficult, less more enemies. But what I love about Jesus is that he takes his love for humanity to the next level. He pushes us to place of petty differences asside and encourages us to reach higher heights and love , love, LOOVE.

When we truly love, that's how we can honestly say we know Jesus.And his spirit abounds in us.

i struggle with the concept everyday, i want to love and care for everyone but its very difficult because of the things people have done to me in the past. My room mates gf, lately she has been swearing like crazy and she has been staying at our place for about two weeks straight not even going home when she has no reason not to be. yes she is in love with my room mate, but there are things about her i struggle with, i want to love her like a neighbor, and she has been through alot, i struggle with it every day, and i pray to the lord every day to help me overcome these struggles i feel, not only towards her, but towards others as well.

Yes, how very true because you never know if God mite not be calling you to be friend one of your enemies? That happened to me once with a lady and I ended up ministering to her and be befriending her. It wasn't at all easy at first because she had trouble trusting any one pretty much like where I am at too. It's how God taught me how to love a complete stranger and it took time for us to grow on each other but we quickly became friends. She was also raised up in the church pretty much like I was so we both had some similar back grounds only she was adopted. God can and will do the impossible this I do believe. It's really long story and if I were to go into details it would have to be a book. :)

I wanted to add this on but I couldn't change it after but it reminded me of this in the bible.

It kind of reminded me about in the book of acts (Acts 9:1-31) when a disciple was going to meet Saul but he didn't want meet him. Then he did because the Lord ordered him to go and meet Saul because Saul was blind and he was not all that familiar with God. Yes, God will ask us to do things that we don't want or like the thought of doing..........but if he tells you to do it then do it! I didn't want to argue with God but I sure as heck could understand how Ananias would be afraid to meet up with Saul. Would any of you want to meet Saul before his conversion? Not a chance and if it were me then I certainly wouldn't be in a big rush but if God orders me to do it then I will do it. My friend did get saved after so I kind of relate to that bible story. (Providing you know that it is the Holy Spirit leading you as we must also test the spirits to see if they are of God.)

There's two type of love: Agape and Phileo.

Agape being unconditional love, and phileo being attraction, fond love.

Most people have Phileo love, and they confuse it with the Agape love.

This will be an example of a Phileo love;
1. I love you because you are my brother, my sister, my mother, or father.
2. I love you because you are my friend.
3. I love you because...

It has a string attached to it, it is conditional, I love you because..
But Agape love is this;

1. I gave up my life for you even when you were my enemies. (Jesus)
2. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

So how do we gain this Agape love?
Bible shows love is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Be fill in the Spirit.
That love is a gift. Like any other spiritual gifts, love is the greatest amongst them.

Speaking in tongues? Love is greater.
Discerning tongues? Love is greater.
Prophecy? Love is greater.

Apostle Paul said, among those gifts to be desired, desire the gift of Love.
