[h=1]Society is in an uproar about homosexuality and Christians discuss this topic five times a week. Homosexuality has been here since the beginning of civilization when man became his own god and lover of himself. There is a great literature called, "Are We Rome by Cullen Murphy." America is replica of Rome in culture, politics, warefare, government, idolatry, paganism and ungodly nature. Christians should do a research, and study of history of homosexuality because truth is powerful and hurtful. The Sacred Word speaks against this unnatural behavior that is not of the Creator. Homosexuality began as a spiritual ritual in the Empire Cult because John spoke against this unnatural behavior of men(women).

Why did the Hebrews despised the gymnasium ?

Terminology:Gymnasium

gymnasium, large room used and equipped for the performance of various sports. The history of the gymnasium dates back toancient Greece, where the literal meaning of the Greek wordgymnasion was “school for naked exercise.” The gymnasiums were of great significance to the ancient Greeks, and every important city had at least one. Usually built by the state, these grew from mere gathering places where exercises were performed to imposing structures with dressing rooms, baths, training quarters, and special areas for contests.

Originally, gymnasiums were public institutions where male athletes over age 18 received training for competition in the public games of that time (as opposed to the palaestrae, which were private schools where boys were trained in physical exercises). The supervision of the gymnasiums was entrusted to gymnasiarchs, who were public officials responsible for the conduct of sports and games at public festivals and who directed the schools and supervised the competitors. The gymnastai were the teachers, coaches, and trainers of the athletes. The Greek gymnasiums also held lectures and discussions on philosophy, literature, and music, and public libraries were nearby.

Christians should not spend their time discussing homosexuality because it dominates ones mind.

Gay Marriage—Nothing New Under the Sun | Catholic World Report - Global Church news and views
Gay marriage and homosexuality were part of the moral landscape faced by the first Christians in Ancient Rome.

Given that the gay marriage agenda will be increasingly pressed upon Catholics by the state, we should be much more aware of what history has to teach us about gay marriage—given that we don’t want to be among those who, ignorant of history, blithely condemned themselves to repeat it.Contrary to the popular view—both among proponents and opponents—gay marriage is not a new issue. It cannot be couched (by proponents) as a seamless advance on the civil rights movement, nor should it be understood (by opponents) as something that’s evil merely because it appears to them to be morally unprecedented.
Gay marriage was—surprise!—alive and well in Rome, celebrated even and especially by select emperors, a spin-off of the general cultural affirmation of Roman homosexuality. Gay marriage was, along with homosexuality, something the first Christians faced as part of the pagan moral darkness of their time.
What Christians are fighting against today, then, is not yet another sexual innovation peculiar to our “enlightened age,” but the return to pre-Christian, pagan sexual morality.
So, what was happening in ancient Rome? Homosexuality was just as widespread among the Romans as it was among the Greeks (a sign of which is that it was condoned even by the stolid Stoics). The Romans had adopted the pederasty of the Greeks (aimed, generally, at boys between the ages of 12 to 18). There was nothing shameful about such sexual relations among Romans, if the boy was not freeborn. Slaves, both male and female, were considered property, and that included sexual property.
But the Romans also extended homosexuality to adult men, even adult free men. And it is likely that this crossing of the line from child to adult, unfree to free—not homosexuality as such—was what affronted the more austere of the Roman moralists.
And so we hear from Tacitus (56-117 AD), the great Roman historian, of the shameful sexual exploits of a string of Roman emperors from Tiberius to Nero. Nero was the first imperial persecutor of the Christians. His tutor and then advisor was the great Stoic moralist Seneca himself. Unfortunately, Seneca’s lessons must have bounced right off the future emperor. When he took the imperial seat, complete with its aura of self-proclaimed divinity, no trace of Stoic austerity remained.
In Nero, Tacitus tells the reader, tyrannical passion, the hubris of proclaimed divinity, the corruption of power, and “every filthy depraved act, licit or illicit” seemed to reach an imperial peak. He not only had a passion for “free-born boys” but also for quite literally marrying other men and even a boy, sometimes playing the part of the woman in the union and sometimes the man.
As Tacitus relates one incident (Grant’s translation): “Nero was already corrupted by every lust, natural and unnatural. But he now refuted any surmises that no further degradation was possible for him. For…he went through a formal wedding ceremony with one of the perverted gang called Pythagoras. The emperor, in the presence of witnesses, put on the bridal veil. Dowry, marriage bed, wedding torches, all were there. Indeed everything was public which even in a natural union is veiled by night.”
Such was only one instance. We also have from historian Seutonius, a contemporary of Tacitus, a report of Nero’s marriage to Doryphorus (who was himself married to another man, Sporus).

Why is there homosexuality in the churches among religion leaders of every denominations ? Christians need to open their eyes of the darkness that have creep into the churches or maybe the darkness been there since the beginning.

Many of the philosopers were gay such as Stoic(stoicism) wrote about homosexuality.[/h][h=1]Homosexuality[/h][h=1]First published Tue Aug 6, 2002; substantive revision Fri Feb 11, 2011
The term ‘homosexuality’ was coined in the late 19th century by a German psychologist, Karoly Maria Benkert. Although the term is new, discussions about sexuality in general, and same-sex attraction in particular, have occasioned philosophical discussion ranging from Plato's Symposiumto contemporary queer theory. Since the history of cultural understandings of same-sex attraction is relevant to the philosophical issues raised by those understandings, it is necessary to review briefly some of the social history of homosexuality. Arising out of this history, at least in the West, is the idea of natural law and some interpretations of that law as forbidding homosexual sex. References to natural law still play an important role in contemporary debates about homosexuality in religion, politics, and even courtrooms.

The bible tells us homosexuality was a serious issue back then. Christians should know that its by far nothing new, that sexual immorality has been happening since the fall of Adam and Eve.

But I do think there is a serious issue with homosexuality today. Not that people are doing it, thats not a new trend. But the fact that people have learned that they can use it to make God and Christianity look evil and cruel. Their is a new push to the illogical idea that "you cant control being gay" and are using sexual freedom as the new civil rights movement. Its being pushed on future generations this way, telling kids that Christians "hate" gay people and justify this idea that people who live that lifestyle, along with any other group of people who have ever existed anywhere, have been killed and hurt by others. Im not so worried about gay marriage, as long as they dont pass laws saying that our Churches have to marry homosexuals, nothing has really changed other than what I have mentioned. Im worried about how people who have made it their lifes mission to "do away with Christianity" using it in order to make Christianity look like an evil thing thats used to "control how people live and force their views on the earth". I dont doubt for a second that this issue was not planned out by someone, using something like homosexuality to make God look like some evil being out to make you do whatever He wants. Obviously demons do these things, though I bet there has been some group of humans who have as well.

So, in that way I do think we have an issue with homosexuality. And I do think that as followers of Christ, we should help those who believe see that it is evil, even if youre not hurting anyone physically, and that it is a temptation that you can say no to. Alot of temptations are being used as weapons against God, and "sexual freedom" is a big one.

But you are right, homosexuality was alive and well in the days of the bible, as was transgenderism, adultery, theft, hate, greed, and anything else God hates. There was never any time in history a time when "the world was good and God fearing", I dont like it when I hear Christians talk like this, because I think it does more harm than good. God called this world dark, sinful, rebellious and wicked. There was never once a wholesome, righteous age anywhere on our earth. I think its harmful when Christians talk out against the people of today and compare them to the people of yesterday, anyone who is willing to look into history will find evil things that were done then and use it against you.
