I have been struggliing with lust lately. It seems that Everytime I see a woman in yoga pants, tights, or spandex, I suddenly become weak, and begin to obsess and lust for the flesh. It happened again today. I was jogging at the track, and a woman started jogging in front of me, wearing very sheer tights. After I finished she started talking to me, and just being friendly, and we went our seperate ways, but on my way home I kept thinking of her..not of her as a person, but of her body. Im trying to stay stong in the lord, but sometimes it gets really hard.

I think its something us guys struggle with the most. I know exactly how you feel because I am the same way lol But one thing for sure is that getting closer to God will help you. Whenever you get a thought distract yourself by thinking about something else. Keeping busy helps me :)

I'll be praying for you!
 
Father we come before you again asking for your help for us to do your will. There is no need for us to struggle against evil. We are victorious over all evil through Jesus who is our lord and savior. We do know we need to practice your word. AS your servant Paul wrote and told us, whatever is true whatever is noble whatever is right whatever is pure whatever is lovely whatever is admirable if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such things and You will be with us. Empower us all to practice your words especially these whenever we are tempted by our own evil desires.
 
If U were my son I would tell him: "Get married".
If he gets married and still having that with people outside his marriage, I will call that LUST, 'cause it is normal we respond to eyes when being single.

Just because its normal doesn't make it not wrong. You are right in calling this lust. You are also brave to humble yourswwlf as admit it. I applaud you. Certainly it's an issue. All I can say is take those thoughts captive. Replace them with holy thoughts. I find in my struggle that praying for that person is also a good remedy. It's pretty hard to list after someone if you are truly praying for their blessing.
 
I have this problem too bro... It's extremely common for guys. God's not going to take away the urges and stuff like that, because he gave us those hormones and everything on purpose, and for a reason. But yeah it's still not good to give in to it. The key really is distracting yourself and sustaining the behavior.

If you're having thoughts then release the thoughts to God. If you give in to it, repent and confess it to God. Ask Him to help you overcome it, because He's the only one that really can help. Pick up the Word, listen to some worship music, or do something else like go for a walk outside (even if it's dark) to distract yourself. Calling/meeting a friend or family member helps too. Remember that you're not alone bro. EVERY guy goes through this at some point in his life. I'll be praying for ya as well.

Prayers for you in this struggle. But please know that we women struggle with this too. Years ago, before I came to Christ, I shared an intense, mutual attraction with my boss at the time. We were both married and therefore agreed nothing would ever come of it. And nothing ever did, but I can't say I didn't spend a great number of hours fantasizing about him. I still sometimes have to deliberately stop myself when the thought of him comes up, a memory, whatever.

So just know that your not alone, but also know that does not make it ok in God's eyes. I do what it takes to stop the day dreaming when it rears it's ugly head; ask God for His help, turn up the Christian radio station, even get on CC if I'm home, and find better things to ponder.

Turn to God, He will give you what you need.


 
lust is sexual sin............Almighty God hates it cause it defiles both body and soul. it is the only sin that penetrates the spirit. dear brother, have self control through closing your eyes or turning your head whenever such things crosses your way. start telling women how dressing in such provoking manner causes men to fall. with time, you will be over them and even when a woman passes and you happen to see, you won't have the slightest feeling...
 
Dude I have struggled with this sin for years and still to this day. Most men do struggle with it because we all have that desire but God calls us to wait till marriage. One thing I will advise which I read in the book "Every Man's Battle" (which I advise anyone who struggles with lust should get) that there are three battles that we are fighting when it comes to this sin: the battle of the eyes, the battle of the mind, and the battle of the heart. Battle of the eyes you need to train your eyes to bounce away from things that could cause lustful thoughts. Battle of the mind is much more tricky but I advise studying scripture and memorizing it to help you fend off the thoughts. The Battle of the Heart should be much easier after you are able to accomplish the first two because then those thoughts should be less. One other thing sexual sin and lust in the bible it is THE ONLY SIN God tells us to flee from. Stay strong brother and you will be in my prayers.

as for lust, i can not be of advise so much.

Some use pressure points to calm them , others use chasity belts (to jog with yiihaaay ) lol ,
prayer, chanling your energy as you will it be channelled.

I have no sex for years and its sin masturbate swell it is said so none of that lately either.

Like ocd but you can find a way to take control of your mind and lust or you can pray for help in doing so.

There is much sexiness and everything can become sexy in such a mind frame .

Wait until marriage, i like it.

I understand it must be very difficult.
Very admirable and important have some control very bad things happen when lust rules the world and as i wrote in post about hells fire club that are educated sadists pedofiles etc that use there profession and education for their lust.

Many can be hurt and much damage can be done aswell as to yourself.
If you end up in bed with many woman you may not even like and maybe get std and stalkers and other things.

Sometimes this is the devil tempting us and others times, I think of this time, as being tempted of the flesh. Tell God about yours feelings. Keep praying without ceasing. I'm happy that you share these feelings you have been having. I believe us guys are tempted this way. But there is no temptation common to man that hasn't been accomplished by others. God will make a way out of it so that we may be able to bear it. Just fight back with a scripture like this and it will eventually go away. Trust in God. Let go and let God.
 
I would say everytime you see a woman in yoga pants, tights, or spandex......STEER CLEAR and don't engage in conversation.
Easier said than done..I know!
 
Something that might help you in your thought life is to think of these women that you see as your sisters. And in a way they are, we all come from Adam and Eve and we all potentially come from Noah and his family, depending on your perception of the flood. When you first see them make yourself think these thoughts. Remind yourself that they are a beloved daughter of God. It's normal to see a woman and think she is beautiful. However, its letting yourself go beyond that and imagining things is where people get in trouble.
 
Yeah, guys tend to have these lust issues a lot too. I even was having issues at my church because of someone's clothing. Kept on rebuking those thoughts until they left me alone. That was awkward and made me righteous angry at those thoughts. I need prayer about the lust thing especially when it deals with my past sin, pornography. So pray for me as well. God bless.
