Imagine the possible value if you had copies of those in pristine condition.
Comic book classics can be worth hundreds of thousands of a first edition.
i deal in comic books. millions, they can be worth.
I used to buy Private Eye quite regularly but , it started to seriously depress me so I stopped .
That reminds me, I used to read True Detective (UK version). It was my favorite magazine for a while, but they stopped printing it. And years before they stopped printing it, any store near me had stopped selling it. I still have copies of it though.
My dad's family love it too. RD even publish jokes on-line. They really like that.

When I was a kid I sold True Grit. I forget now if it was a monthly or a weekly.
Readers Digest were always sending us sweepstakes competitions, trying to get us to enter, but we never won anything. It was just we had the chance to go in the draw...!
And they did this for YEARS even when we didn't buy any of the magazines. My dad got sucked into buying the Condensed Books which we didn't read, but they sometimes had good non-fiction fact books. Like real ones not condensed ones.
I have Household Hints and Handy Tips. The Reader's Digest Book of Facts. and a few others.

speaking of sweepstakes, i won $1, $5 & $10 dollars in 3 sweepstakes draws. i thought the $1 & $2 prizes were lower than a pregnant whale so i never cashed them.
i don't know, i don't deal in the funny comics. i deal in superhero, key, golden & silver age, horror, science, etc. around here it's not favorable too much. if i found a valuable funny comic, i wouldn't pass on it.
Garfield magazine
It was my favourite, and my Dad always bought me a copy every month they came out. They were in full colour, and the centrefold was always a poster I could take out and put on my wall.
I was always three months behind though, cos that's how long they took to ship it to NZ from the UK.
I don't know why Garfield magazine was published in the UK though by Ravette instead of Ballentynes, which is Garfield's US publisher.
He had Universal Syndication.
