I think I am going to have to be OK with being "alone" for the rest of my days. I have been told my standards are way to high, but I have no intention of lowering them. I am prepared to welcome a special someone providing they 1. Love God with ALL of their heart. 2. Love my children with all of their heart and be prepared to co-parent an autistic child and like it. 3. Treat me as God as told them to a women to the letter.
I realize this is tall order, so I am ok with being a little family with my children because we are very happy.

That's awesome Sweet...it's good to have standards & know what you want & not settle for less. One thing is this & believe me,I am not saying it to sound sarcastic or rude in any ways, shape or form...but all those standards you have that you want in a partner,I hope you are willing to 100% give in the exact way back to that man. Because if not,you are setting yourself up for some major disappointment.

It took us 3 years but we finally disagreed. I'm morally opposed to tattoos and would never date a girl who had one, I don't care if it's hidden from view. The way I see it, you wanna color? Buy a box of crayons. As for inking your body, FUHGEDDABOUDIT!!!

I love you anyway, little brother (brat haha) :p

When I was younger I was going to get a bike. A police Officer,(Bike Officer) showed me some picture of a women who went down on her bike. Her left leg looked like it had been taken down to the bone with a cheese grader. He told me all bikers go down at least four times...I went back to my sailboat. I still have the sailboat.
Bikes are great. Their big danger is stupid people in cars.

I'm not terribly fond of Tattoos.

Some women are ridiculously beautiful with or without them but, I can't say that I've ever been attracted to the women who get them.

Also, the women who get them, can't seem to stop at just one.

Liamson, what about this girl?

I think it's wise to live one day at a time - thinking about how to glorify God with where we are at in life. If we are living in a way to please God, then it really shouldn't matter what you do because eventually you will be aligned with someone who is similar to you and serves as you do - so that you become a team with the same mission. In that sense, you SHOULD be living out the same characteristics and values that you want in a future spouse, because you are not going to magically change into a hard-working unselfish person upon getting married ha ha. Even when you ARE married God's priorities are your priorities...so don't worry about what your imaginary future spouse will think :) Just live as a righteous stand-up guy and yeah, the cow will come home soon. BA ha ha ha ha ha ha... :P

"I applaud you!"

I am opposed to tattoos, piercings, and any other "unnatural" modifications to the human body.

I am "not interested" in any woman who has any of these... ( I make an exception in the case of a single piercing in the center of each ear lobe - only because I "grew up with it" - so, I "tolerate" it as a form of "necessity" - and do not consider it "nearly as critical"; however, I consider "no piercings at all" to be 'ideal'. )

{ This is a statement of 'personal preference', ladies - and is not intended to insult, belittle, etc. - anyone - in any way. In saying "not interested" - I am specifically talking about a possible / potential wife - not general friendship, etc. }

It greatly reduces the number of choices on the "potential candidate" list; however, in a way - it is a good thing...

:)

yep.

Never liked the whole ink thing. also don't like metal haning out of someone ether. those things in my eyes will turn a 10 into a 0

I have made accomodations for a future, but I really think those accomodations are worth making. For instance, there was a time when I considered studying Medicine, but then I realized that if I did I wouldn't have much time for my family, and I would hate that. Besides... I don't think I really would like to go through all the stress, the exams, the books, the stress, the stress, the stress, etc. I've been watching videos on youtube to learn how to cook lol, because maybe someday I'll have a family....I don't know, I hope so at least, and I don't want my children eating peanut butter and jelly sanwiches everyday.

But as far as doing things that I wouldn't do or that would compromise who I am, I think I've learned a lot. I used to compromise my personality through my early teen years. I stopped playing videogames because I was afraid some friends would say I was weird or a geek. I also thought that if I ever had a boyfriend he would think I was not very ladylike.

Anyway, I've learned my lesson. I'm sure there are times when I keep on making accomodations for my imaginary future and I don't even notice..but at least I try to live the moment, and if someone comes up and I love him and our relationship is worth it, I might make accomodations for him ( as long as it's healthy to do so).

Error. She looks like she takes herself way too seriously. And Neck Tattoos make baby ducks and puppies cry.

Kayem. I know how to cook technically I've done it for a living once upon a time. Its not the learning how to do things that bothers me. Though, I've never changed a Diaper in my life and if I never have kids I'll be okay with never having to do that.

I was torn between buying a Truck or a Motorcycle. But not really, if I bought a Truck I was doing it for someone who isn't in my life.

But I'm a minimalist. And a Truck is very utilitarian.

When I first Joined the Navy I wanted to Buy a Porsche Boxster but, I was afraid that it was going to be impractical and unreliable. So I compromised and Bought a Mini Cooper instead.

I never needed the Practicality that it would have provided. I was Stationed in Florida and Sandy Eggo California. The Total cost, Insurance and Fuel Economy was WAY more expensive on the Mini than the Boxster. The Mini was also desperately Unreliable.

So... I've learned something about myself. When I can't have something that I want, I think just anything else will do. After all its JUST transportation. Its JUST a Laptop... Its just a Haircut... Its just a job...

I wanted to Join the Army but I was 17 and my mother wouldn't sign off on it. So rather than wait like 6 months, I joined the Navy.

Sometimes I've asked people out when I get rejected by someone else that I really like. Same concept, only it usually hits me like a month later that this was a terrible idea and there was a reason I wasn't interested in this person.

So... This is the first step for me in not compromising. :)

I've had that same problem too. I get impatient when I have to wait for something that I really really want and I end up replacing it with something else and then I end up regretting that I did haha. Interesting, right? Sometimes denying yourself too much for silly reasons can be counterproductive.

I solved that problem by not wanting anything. well I try and not want anything.

course as dirt poor as I am i dont even bother thinking about stuff to buy

Not wanting anything would solve everything, but it's highly unrealistic to expect not to want anything at all. A person can be poor and still delight themselves with small things like...I don't know, buying your favorite candy or going to the park because you want to, or whatever. You don't need to be rich to enjoy some pleasures of life, not everything is material.

Actually. long ago in my life. I just kinda quit caring. funny how all the worries just go away when you don't care.

as for material things. honestly I own so little that everything I own fits in a closet.

I dont even think of a future someone. 31 years ive went no "someone" showed up. and honestly I quit caring about it at about 15. as they say that game is over and been over along time.

I do as I wish. in 31 years im set in my ways.

My husband (of 33 years) was 31 when we married.
And though pretty set in his ways, he managed gracefully to accommodate a wife and six children.

God is good at making us accomplish stuff like that.
just sayin', is all.:)

Yes! so often I find myself being impulsive because I didn't get what I want.

I don't think I was ever taught to be patient and keep researching even if I don't get exactly what you want.
