Hey guys. I'm feeling very confused and hurt. There's a guy that I really like but I know that I can never have him. I don't know if I should stop talking to him completely or if I should just wait and see what's going to happen. My intuition tells me that we're not meant for each other, but I don't know what God wants. I'm asking God to help me make the right decision, the facts are just too obvious but my feelings get in the way.

I'd highly appreciate it if anyone out there prayed for me :) I want to open my heart and listen what God really wants me to do in this situation..

Hello Jennifer :) It seems to me that in this case, where you are obviously feeling torn between two very different courses of action, it may be prudent to follow your intuition, for it could be that God is attempting to communicate something to your through this impulse to walk away from someone who may confuse and hurt you even more if you stick around trying to figure out what he wants, while the rest of your life is passing you by.

Ill be praying for you hun
and I would stay friends with him, If I were you
If nothing else you will have a good friend
God most likely has a plan for you
weather just friends or something more

You say that you know you can't have this man- what about him puts him out of your league? As a Christian, you are a daughter of the King of Kings- you should have higher standards than he does.

The most important thing is whether or not this man is a practicing believing Christian. Does he go to church? If not, stay away from him- he will be nothing but trouble! Good luck.

Hi I guess these things happen to many of us at times and yet it can be a real torture and even being friends with them can be really hard because it can be hard to move in from them emotionally and you also can read into things too much because you still have feelings for them.Let god guide you and be bold a spend ask him to create the necessary situation to change the way you feel about this guy if it really is not his will for you to be together.God knows what you're going through and i know how if feels to be a situation like this.

Ask yourself this..
if you found out that he started dating another girl..how would you feel?..would you be strong enough to maintain a friendship with him??

Also does he know you like him and if he does..would he take it for granted because he knows you like him?
It is never easy to really like someone that you can't have and I know god doesn't want you broken and damaged by all this so allow god to guide you through this and trust him that he will most certainly make a way for you.

I have noticed that many people seldom update us regarding their situations that they asked us to pray about..so please let us know how you get on as we genuinely care about your life and understand how hard it can be!
 
Hope everything works out for you.
Personally I wouldn't stop talking to them but then I wouldn't go out of my way to talk to them either

I have been there, lets face It Im older
I have been there a lot lol

Thank you for the advice. To answer your question: no I wouldn't, it would break my heart and I'd definitely end the friendship. No, he doesn't know that I like him and I don't want to tell him because I see no point in telling him. He lives in a complete different country and I'm against long distance dating. So that's the reason why I think I can never have him. But he's trying really hard to get into military and maybe I'm just dreaming... but there are lots of US military bases in my country and soldiers are allowed to live overseas. So maybe he's secretly trying to do that. The chances are extremely low, but who knows, right?

don't get me wrong I LOVE a man In uniform
but that's a hard life
Well from what I remember with my Dad being
In the Army!
but that was back then, things are most likely
much different now

Yes it does sound like a really difficult situation.Question....how do you know he doesn't actually like you??
When you like someone from another country it certainly make the whole thing very hard coz I have friends who have done it and all they can do is chat via webcam everyday and miss eachother terribly...One of the ladies eventually moved to the guys country and they got married there.
My personal view is make time to spend with god a spend ask god for specific things which only he can do to let you know if it is his will or not..god is always more than happy to confirm things to us because once your totally honest with yourself before god he will honour this and Jesus said "my sheep hear my voice"..so I am confident god will let you know either way..as sometimes you know how our hearts work....there's sometimes that feeling of ...what if...."god wants your heart and mind stable in him and not have those thoughts that make you constantly think..well maybe it is gods will...well maybe it isn't gods we'll ect

I do sense the turmoil within you and god loves you too much to let you stay in this state.
..and anytime you feel the need to send us a message needing advice or prayer ect pls don't hesitate as we care about you and I know how it feels to be your situation as I'm sure some of those who have responded to your prayer request have also too
 
Father God please help,catmurky,in that you guide her to a wise decision regarding whom she whom she desires but is unsure of,in Jesus's holy name I humbly pray,AMEN.
 
Long distance relationships can be difficult- they require patience and lots of trust. Good luck to you, and as Stewart points out, please keep us posted. If this man isn't for you, God has someone even better (perhaps better looking as well).

I'm not sure.. a lot of people have said that if a guy likes you, you would know without a doubt. So me questioning it is a red flag, but it could also be my general uncertainty with everything that I do/experience. But when I tried to end our friendship, he started to panic, which means that he's afraid of losing me. However, that could also be just a friendship thing. The only way to know for sure is to just ask him I guess lol but I don't want to do that because then he will know that I like him. Sorry I'm a huge over-thinker

Hi i totally understand .It is often a pretty scary thing when you like someone and they don't know you like them and you don't know if they even like you.coz if they realise you like them,but don't feel the same way..for some it can create an awkwardness between you both.So in a way what your're think is kinda normal.

Yet you might need to be courageous and in Jesus name make a decision either way.....long term you would be glad you did something rather than go round in circles.However you do have god on your side and god will also help you throughout this.The best way is just to put your complete trust in god and do what you feel is the right thing to do regardless for the fears that you have within.

Father God we pray for catmurky if it is your will guide her and bless to develop friendship with this guy, other wise Lord give your understanding so that her feelings for this guy change. Lord bless them both and you be glorified in their lives. In Jesus true name, Amen!
