A close friend of mine is 54 and is a master plumber and he wants to retire now. He says that he has reached his limit.
I'm 53 and have been working gig jobs, mostly food delivery and food shopping for apps like Uber Eats and also Instacart.
Mostly part time but 20-30 hours a week and honestly it's a tough way to grind out some income to make a living as physically I'm just not as strong as I was in my youth. I'm curious as to how older peeps do it.

I did carpenter work and commercial drywall up into my mid 30's... and realized I didn't want to be doing that when I was in my 40's, so I got out, and got an ASEE degree and started working on electro-mechanical equipment. Been doing that for 40 years now, and can still handle it, physically, for the most part. Hanging sheetrock at 50? Nope.
