I thought he handed it down to his son, Franklin. But how can US people just rely on ONE person to evangelise everyone else , I think that is a mistake. And poor Franklin must feel the pressure.
When I studied world missions, it was more, you dont have to be a jet setting evangelist to make a difference and spread the gospel. You can do it right where you are...the mission field is right when you step out the door.

this is why you get outside volunteers in not the teachers in the school but the parents and grandparents.
Christian schools its totally ok to mention the Bible. It depends a lot on the principal. But you can also mention life values that are not only biblical but applicable to everyone. eg love, kindness, peacefulness, gentleness, self control...these are fruits of the Holy Spirit, to those in the know but to those that dont they are good values to live by.
Children can bring their Bibles to school if they want to, nothig is stopping them. Its a book after all. Theyn need to practice reading anyway.

Not just in schools but all workplaces and areas of life that may not regard your faith. And even in prison and difficult circumstances. Who thinks being a christian is an easy comfortable middle class life for most? Thats not the reality.

You don't send newborns out to fight wolves. The problem isn't the other kids in the school, the problem is that some teachers are wolves and will mock and ridicule any kids with a testimony of Jesus.
I would recommend that Christians homeschool their kids through JHS. Math at that point is only algebra. If you coordinate with your church and other parents you can have your kids learn an instrument, be in the choir, and perhaps become a black belt in Karate for their PE. For drama they can be in the church plays. Then all you need in addition to that is to read books, one good sized book a week from the time they are in 4th grade. By the time you finish 8th grade it is 250 books which can include a list of the 100 books recommended for kids to read.
However, I would also train the kids to be a witness for the Lord and put the goal in front of them to evangelize the high school that they will go to. You could pray over that high school in home school and prepare them in the word to be mocked and ridiculed till like Paul they would see this as a great honor. Two kids fully trained up in the word could completely evangelize a high school over 4 years. The training would also require that you teach the kids the law and they be fully prepared to offer a defense to anyone who tries to threaten or intimidate them.

There are many testimonies of Christians evangelizing their high schools. Watchman Nee shared that every single kid in his high school ultimately received the Lord even though they weren't all saved during HS.
We know that FreeMasons intentionally get jobs at schools for the purpose of grooming and proselytizing.
I would not send my elementary school kid to a school with pedophiles. The minute I lose trust in the public school to be a reliable filter for this I would not have my kid in a public school. Anyone paying attention to what we have discovered about our teachers and also Disney and our school boards would pull their elementary school kids and JHS kids from the public school.
If you train them right including a black belt in karate then I think HS might be a reasonable place to send them after 8 years of homeschooling.
But it depends on you, if you feel HS would be a waste of time and that you can prepare them fully for college then go for it.
Even if you are homeschooled you might be able to participate in other school activities like debate, and various teams. Check the local laws.

why you wrote that kids spread the gospel is weird. High school students are not kids. They are teenagers and already going to be sheep, and good shepherds if they are obedient to the Lord.
Watvhman Nee would not have wrote 'kids' or used that term, In China the correct term for children is translated as 'little people' . They do not call them 'kids" and also, chinese refer to others in familial terms, big brother, little sister, older sister, little brother, cousin etc.
