About three and a half years ago our oldest daughter was scheduled to be married to her fiance, a man that
she had met at church. As it happened they both had to seek new jobs after the wedding, and neither had
very much money...as young people seldom seem to. Well, a week before the wedding the money problems got
even worse and it looked like they would surely have to cancel their modest honeymoon to the beach.
Well, I was in church with my wife, six days before the big event and waiting for the service to start when
these thoughts came to me. Look in your lock box for the savings bonds for your daughter. I knew about no such
bonds, but my mother had passed away and had left us some savings bonds a few years before. As we left I asked
my wife if she knew about any such bonds and she did not but told me I should look where I was told. When we got home
I looked and sure enough there was an envelope with a stack of bonds made out to daughter from my late mom.
They were mature and more than enough, I thought, for the honeymoon scheduled for six days ahead.
When daughter was out of her church I called her and told her and she came that PM to pick them up and they
were used to pay for the honeymoon trip and also for their living expenses until they could find their new jobs.
I must have known about those bonds years before but they were busy times and I had probably told daughter they
were in the box and forgot about it.
I thank the Lord that it all worked out and that there was more than sufficient for there was sufficient.
Thank you Lord!!! Daughter seems to have easily survived cancer surgery the past couple months.
