Hello All

So is it cheating if your spouse is in a chat room on line speaking to other married men. I caught her by a message and asked her about it, she states
that these men just chat with her even though they said sexy pic and such..
I questioned her and now she is really defensive , claims they are just friends
I asked her if she was seeing anyone or talking with anyone a few weeks ago and she stated NO....so she lied to me and now she wants to file for Divorce.
I told her I would forgive her and want God to take over our marriage for support , yet she says she did nothing wrong. I asked her to give us time yo allow God to work in our marriage so we shall see , I love her dearly and have a soon as well.....

Hello
Personally I would consider it not very nice thing for a married lady to do with a husband she can talk to.
If mine were still alive I would be talking to him right now instead of being here.

Is it cheating? That's a broad question that can't be answered with a yes or no. Generally speaking, no, it's not cheating. Talking to people of the opposite gender is not cheating or sinful, when married. That is, unless the talk becomes inappropriate.
I think it is Unwise. Temptation can creep in easily and slowly guide us bit by bit into the wrong direction.
If your wife is divorcing you over her activities online, then more than likely she has cheated. People don't usually leave marriages for friendship. They will leave for a new relationship, however. So as far as your wife maintaining her innocence, i won't state factually she's wrong, because i don't know what exactly she was discussing. But it does seem highly suspicious and does lean more in that direction as much as can be, without having first hand knowledge.

But, most divorces don't come out of happy marriages either. If she were online talking to other men, and leaves you, then she wasn't happy to begin with.

If it was innocent she wouldn't be really defensive..It sounds like she has tapped out of you're marriage. If she really loves you still, then you should ask her to provide chat logs/history and she would do it to prove that she hasn't. If she's still defensive then that means she's been cheating on you with other men online. I am not married, but I know if I were, I would not want any man saying hey sexy pic to my wife. Sure she can have friends and coworkers that are men that's fine, and say nice pic or something but sexy pic is stepping over the line for me...

Either way may the Lord help you through this difficult time friend....

Sorry for your struggling. I believe that man and woman can be friends even when they are married, but there are boundaries. If those boundaries are crossed Jesus said we should run away from sexual sin like Joseph runned away from Putifar's wife. If other men are sending sexy pictures to your wife, boundaries are crossed. You talked to your wife already, then I would recommend to talk your pastor and to pray over your marriage. There are always two sides of story. With God's help you can find solution, forgiveness and healing to your marriage. God bless you.
