Are you built to stay single forever? Are you one who wants/needs to be married? It seems like a lot of us young people are rushing into marriage these days with out even knowing their partner. That's why statistics say 65% of people in their twenties get divorced by the time they are 30. Why not enjoy being single? You have a full life ahead of you.
1st Corinthians 7 talks about how it's actually better staying single forever (as Jesus did) so we can have more time in ministry and less trouble in life. Think about it, the kids you want to have will most likely grow up and rebel against you, can even get in trouble with the law, etc. Studies also say by the time a child is 18, you would have spent over $150,000 on that child. Marriage is also not for everyone. Some people I know should have never gotten married in the first place and have been divorced many times. Their marriages fall apart fast.
Being single also means you have more 'freedom' in life to do what you want, when you want. You can stay out with friends or ministering to people as late as you want and not have to worry about anything.
The Bible does say being married is a good thing as well of course. I guess what I'm trying to say is if your single, don't feel the need to rush into a relationship/marriage. Enjoy life being single and get to really know God and the calling he has on your life.
I know I'm built for singleness and I'm not marriage material. I'm enjoying and looking forward to the future of the plans and journey God has me on. Remember, Jesus never got married and lived life to the full
