I suggest reading through the 100 other posts already up that asks this question. Just my opinion though.

I think the best time is when you feel that both you and your partner are ready to live together, grow together and not part until death (til death do you part).

when both of you are ready to not only take care of yourselves but also someone else. both mentally and physically. don't get married while you're still in college living in a room in your parent's house. money issues are like the number one or two reason why ppl divorce. ask God for a time and also ask married ppl. they're the ones going through what you're trying to get to. they know a little something about being married. >_^

That sounded a bit rude. I said... sounded rude. A sad purple smiley seems to show that the OP seems to have taken it negatively aswell. Next time please say that in a way that sounds nicer so it can't be confused with anything else.

Age shouldnt come into when you get married. If you are financially, emotionally and physically (i.e - house/car/money ) or w/e. When you are in love, then you should marry. To me, age is not, and never should be a factor in deciding when to get married.

“The appropriate age for marriage is around eighteen for girls and thirty-seven for men.”-Aristotle

I think this question can't really be answered by anyone else but yourself..like only you know when you're ready to get married. It's true that certain factors affect your decision and people can offer you advice..but at the end of the day it's up to you. I think if you have any doubts about said marriage..then maybe the guy isn't the one for you. Like I can understand if a person has "cold feet" about it..but if there's constant doubting..and doubting your decision..like if I was in that position..I would take a step back and really question if I really want to be with that guy?

Personally..if I ever did meet the right guy.. 1. I'd want to know 100% that he was the one..Because marriage is all good and everything..but if you marry the wrong guy it could go south.. The guy would have to be a strong christian..and I would need to know that he's going to be 100% committed to making the marriage work. You can't be with someone who isn't as committed to the relationship as you are..because when something bad happens "Oh I want a divorce". Marriage isn't easy, it's a lot of hard work.. 2. I'd want to be financially stable first..Yeah you can be in love and happy..and money doesn't make the world go around..But if there's financial problems..it could lead to fights and a strain in your marriage.. 3. I'd actually wait a few years before getting married..Like the guy could propose to me..then we could be engaged for a while..Not only to prepare for the marriage..but also to get to know the guy better. My mom has this saying "You can know a person for years..but even then you still don't really know them".. 4. Never rush..always take your time. Like I mentioned in No. 3.. You need to know the person..especially if you're planning on spending the rest of your life with them.. 5. The most important thing of all..Is this God's will? Ask God to show you..ask for confirmation over and over again if you have to.. Also don't just rely on your sappy feelings..just because you think the guy might be the one..because you could end up making a mistake..

I would suggest that you spend time in prayer and fasting first when you do think you're ready..I think that's all I'm going to say.. God bless :)

I think the best time to get married is, like everyone else said, when you know the person, you're financially secure, and when you're sure you're ready. But the one thing I haven't seen in this thread yet is that there should be some premartial counsoling. We know you can't live together before marriage, so there are many questions to be asked about how you live vs how your partner lives. If certain things really bug you, and your partner does those things, then unless your love can overlook those things, it's probably best not to marry that person. Like me personally, I could never marry a slob, no matter how much I love him. Wrappers on the floor, clothes strung everywhere -- my annoyance would outweigh my love after a while.
