The same person made all those claims. The credibility of a certain person pertaining to a certain subject should be determined based upon everything the person said on the subject, not bits and pieces that conform to your own position.

The person of which we speak also said:

Does God give any instructions on tobacco smoking?, what about marijuana? are thos names mentioned in the Bible?, if not, is it ok to smoke the weed?, how can the Bible give instructions about every single individual human consumed product we eat smoke or drink?. The unclean act of Masturbation would have to be based on sexual immorality in general, sexual immorality is not exclusive to coitus.

Very true.

But if you look back, my point is that we should refrain from making harsh judgments regarding topics that God doesn't take. IS there wisdom in not smoking or doing drugs? Absolutely. But it is erroneous to begin question people's salvation or relationship with God because they do, especially when God doesn't make that stance.

I hear what you're saying, but somebody has to take the stance on such matters, yes we all fall short of God's Holy ways but that doesn't necessarily mean individuals should stop making the effort to be clean in God's eye's, i'm sure God understands our imperfections more so than anyone else could ever know, but, still, there are beneficial teachings in the scriptures that should help an individual to try to come to a good clean standing before God, i am sure He God would appreciate the effort that an individual is at least trying to be clean and Holy like the Almighty God.

So using your left hand is not sinful behavior?

Some say 5:30, in that the subject matter is adultery/divorce, is a metaphor for separating from a spouse who is sinning even if it is painful.

Saying 5:30 refers to masturbation is in my opinion making the verse say what you want it to say.

What is your interpretation of 5:28? What does "looketh on a woman to lust after her" mean exactly? Does that refer to any woman or a married woman? To be sinful behavior, do you have to do more than just look? Is a fantasy sufficient to be sinful behavior, or do you have to act upon that fantasy?

As in, adultery and this and that and this and that.

This thread could be written before Jesus' advent. The advice is basically don't do it through ordinances fom the law/do it because it is nomal.

Before aperson is born again they are ruled by things other than God's spirit. The law was given in the old covenant as God's testimony or to define God's demands for behvior in light of his presence.

IOW it reveals man's inability to do right..

The law (ordinances/rules) is not a sustainable cure.Which most here erroneously believe.

Power to walk holy comes from......cue drum roll here............the Holy Spirit.

Through the power of the HS operating,abiding ,controlling,we now have the basis in place to OBEY GOD.

Ive heard that in a cat scan, the porn addicts brain looks just like the meth addicts brain.

True. The recently discovered similarities to drug (and other) addictions are kind of startling. The brain actually seems to wither and develop literal holes in the surface.

Sure does! Turns out free will isn't that free I guess. Yet they say, "who are you to tell me what is right or wrong, I'm not gonna follow some antiquated old book that tells me what is best for me"

turns out they knew things thousands of years ago that science is just now "discovering" and that God really does know what is best for us and has ALWAYS had our best interests at heart.
