That was just to go with your comment about what they said about modern medicine in the medieval day. You remember how Bones was always outraged with the medical treatments in episodes visiting planet Earth.
I feel the exact same way when I visit the hospitals. Sometimes I get triggered with Drs and registered dieticians too.

Yep, I used to think that we were so advanced; in certain procedures, perhaps(?) My opinion has drastically changed, unfortunately. Lol

In Egypt they found human remains where the priests had drilled holes into the heads of the mentally ill. That is primitive. They where trying to figure out how to fix them?
When I was a kid, I thought the medical science in Star Trek was real. But then my family explained to me that nothing like that existed. It was hard for me to believe it was fake.

The old medical books from WW1&2 were pretty gruesome, but a lot was learned about surgery through trial and errors.
It's still high risk, but at least there's been improvement.
The problem is that the vast majority of surgeries are not necessary except to enrich the hospital stock holders and staff.
Patients don't know what to do other than to trust those who only benefit if the patient undergoes surgeries.
As far as the drugs chemically synthesized from petroleum oil, most destroy enzyme pathways and have goals to eliminate symptoms rather than encourage healing. It's akin to seeing a warning on the dashboard and snipping the sensor wire alerting you to the harm. The harmful condition continues, but the alert is out of sight and out of mind.

I think there is more truth in some of these sci-fi shows than you realize! Disclosure is happening now.
I just listened to this interview with the conscience of psychiatry, Dr Peter Breggin. The first 17 minutes are his background and life story. He then gets into the point you brought up Brasspen, about holes drilled in Egyptian skulls.
Breggin discusses how it was done when he started practicing and it's barbaric history.
CAUTIONARY NOTE:
Anyone who happens to tune in to listen to sections, don't miss the numerous times he says that those on psychiatric drugs should not stop them without proper oversight from the prescribing Dr. It could possibly be dangerous.
I agree, I had a moment after attending the Pentecostal Church baptism with God, TV and it's showcase. It was un-legalistic, meaning graceful and with acceptance, and the broadcast or show was so enlightening that it spoke directly to my concerns and enjoyment. In other words it was fruitful to my own uniqueness I have with God. I believe the Power Of God should rest upon each individuals uniqueness in doing so, so we may be entertain in our fearfully and wonderfully made images. I mean the power from God was so much I could tell the timely matter, the connectivity to my own life with Jesus and others. You know when two or more are gathered in my name, agreement is a certainty and I think showcase, broadcast and streaming can be super beneficial and praise worthy with that agreement, amen?

I don’t really trust anybody in the pharmaceutical industry. Have you seen the barrage of drug commercials on TV? They’re trying to sell drugs like candy, or coffee. It’s crazy! So of course this doctor doesn’t want you to stop any of the drugs….they stand to lose too much money.

I agree with your first three sentences.
The last one reveals that you did not listen to any of the video or consider my comment. You have not been here long, but you should know by now that I'm probably the most anti-drug person on this forum.
I've gone to bat for patients I've tried to save against nurses, Drs, and hospital admins.
Have you ever heard of DTs, delirium tremons ?
Many Alcoholics get them when
they experience withdrawal. It kills a lot of them. The same is true if many poisons/drugs. Psychiatric drugs are especially dangerous when it comes to improper stopping if those category of meds. The DR I posted is The Expert on that topic. He's the world's foremost anti-drug psychiatrist. He wrote books on the subject and testified against drug companies and hideous procedures like shoving tools into the front of the brains of victims and destroying them. That's what psychiatrists used to do before Dr Breggin fought against it.

The Chief Medical Officer of the world has determined that being alive is dangerous to your health. I've drunk tap water all my life. Paying for bottled water is absurd. OK, in some countries that is essential, but not in most of Australia. I'll be 75 soon and tap water has not killed me, not even once.
