But none of that explains how you can say so definitely that Jesus is not the Christ, when the Bible says 6 times (in the verses I quoted before), "Jesus is the Christ." Are you saying that the Bible is mistaken in those six verses?
Why "later"? Paul wrote to Timothy:
NKJV 1Ti 1:15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
He didn't write, "Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and later was called Christ/Messiah."
Matthew writes of His birth as "the birth of Jesus Christ":
Mat 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.
Luke also, in recording the words of the angel to the shepherds, wrote:
Luk 2:11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Nothing there about being called the Christ, the Messiah, later.

It is a Transliteration, Not a Translation
A true English translation of the original text would never use the word "Christ." If the early Bible translators had actually translated the meaning of the word into English,
your King James Bible wouldn't say "Jesus Christ." It would say "Jesus the Anointed King."
- Instead of translating the meaning, the translators did something called Transliteration. They took the letters of the Greek word Christos (which simply means "rubbed with oil" or "anointed") and forced them into English letters (C-h-r-i-s-t).
- Why Was It Made Up?
- In the ancient world, calling someone the Anointed One was a direct Threat to Caesar because it meant "The Legitimate King."

Being Called it is one thing, but when did the Actual event happen? As pointed out earlier, only Dad (the Father) can Anoint. That happened exactly when He came out of the Jordan River.
In Acts 10:38, Peter identifies the exact moment the coronation took place:

He was called the Anointed at His birth because it was His Birthright, but He was officially Anointed by the Father at the Jordan to begin His march to the throne.
But that doesn't answer why the angel said to the shepherds, long before the baptism of Jesus:
Luk 2:11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
As John says at the beginning of his gospel, the Son of God is eternal - He was with God in the beginning and He was God. At Bethlehem, the eternal Son took on flesh. So He didn't somehow become God at His baptism.

He appeared to His disciples after the resurrection and told them to touch Him, to see He was flesh and bone and not spirit.

The word for "name" in Matt 1:21 & 25 and Luke 1:31 (when Gabriel told Mary and Joseph what name to give Jesus) is the Greek word "onoma". It means a proper name.
The OT equivalent for Jesus is Joshua. Both are proper names.
Yes names have meanings. Adam (the first man), Methuselah (when he dies God will send it), Peleg (divided), Moses (drawn out).

You say that the flesh body of Jesus was not forever. Don't you believe that He rose from the dead? He showed the disciples His hands and His feet. He ate fish and honeycomb in their presence. Paul tells us that He was seen by over 500 people at once:

How is that possible? "Christ" means "anointed one" and He was called "Jesus Christ from His birth, not His baptism some 30 years later.
He was called Jesus from his birth.
The gospels (even all the NT) were written AFTER Jesus' crucifixion, death, resurrection and ascension.
Referring to Him as Christ in books that were written later does not mean He was called Christ at any time before He was anointed by the Holy Spirit at His baptism.
