The milk of salvation is simply that you prefer to live with Christ eternally rather die in lust in this world. As you search scripture for how to do this, we find that Christ only requires that you believe He can do this, you repent of sin, and that you forgive others, for the Lord asks how He can forgiver you if you won't give forgiveness to others.
That is the milk, the meat comes in to how we are to live as this new person in Christ. That involves the law, and there are posts after posts, most disagreeing about listening or not listening to the law.
Do you actually believe that a person with Christ within can also have sin within? We are guided to righteousness that we have in Christ by the law, it is a blessing to those in Christ. It has nothing to do with the salvation we are gifted with, and everything to do with living with Christ within.Don't you just love the people that keep themselves saved.

The same God, with no changes, gave us all scripture. There is no scripture saying God wants us to divide His word. There IS scripture telling us God is one, God is eternal, God never changes.
Being a shadow doesn't mean shunned. But we have to understand it in terms of the true substance
I went into this, but you seem to be unable to hear. I'll repeat myself, and add a couple of others, without opening a new topic on them.
OSAS is a basic example of a group rejecting meat, as the verses clearly indicating salvation is losable, is to hard for some to chew.
The six days of creation and the seventh day in which God rests being other than seven days is too hard for some to chew; as is the earth being more than several thousands of years old related to the creation, is too hard for some to chew. Each of these topics are basic forms of meat. Then there are the spiritual forms of meat. I explained some of these that are related to salvation being a salvation from the world and its lusts, which goes above the heads of those who are earthly minded.
Yes, milk does entail repentance from the world and its lusts. And before we can chew meat we have to weaned off of the world and its lust, so that the Lord can instruct us in greater knowledge and understanding.

Hebrews 6 calls walking right milk. It calls faith in God milk. It calls baptism and laying on hands milk. It calls condemnation and justification milk. These are elementary principles, not solid food.
Hebrews 5 calls the mystery of Christ and Melchezedek meat.
I think both you and luigi are wrong about what meat is. We need to see what God calls meat. Meat isn't to turn from evil and believe and follow God, doing what is right. That's basic milk. Meat isn't other people not agreeing with our questionable interpretations of things. Meat isn't judgement or resurrection, that's milk.
This is a milk question to ask, because we ought to be well beyond the point of maturity that we know not to make up our own definitions of things, but to seek and take God's definitions, but:

But Melchezedek was both priest and king as Christ is both priest and king. That is just saying that Christ is our king and our savior. You included that as scripture calling that milk. Could you elaborate on this idea of what scripture calls meat?

so understanding of Genesis 14 -- not just superficially comprehending the facts of the narrative -- is an example of meat, because that is everything we know about Melchizedek. Hebrews is telling us that understanding it right means understanding that it is about Christ, in the same way that Paul tells the Galatians that the right understanding of Hagar and Sarah is understanding that it's also about Christ, about the covenant with Israel and the covenant with all who put their trust in the Son. (Hebrews 5:9:12)
so what Hebrews is telling us here is that Genesis 14 is interpreted the same way Genesis 16 is interpreted -- real true events but what they say are things about who Christ is and what He does, just like you're saying about shadows and about the law - Paul calls this section of Genesis the law, explaining what it says to the Galatians. it's true; it's right, and more than that it's ultimately a testimony of God, revealing Him and His purpose.
and what's between Genesis 14 & Genesis 16? Genesis 15 - the covenant with Abraham. all of these things are pictures of the Messiah, telling us what He is going to come to do. Genesis 15, the everlasting covenant that God promises to keep, the oath He fulfills while Abraham is "in a deep sleep" ((dead)) appearing as a burning lamp and a smoking furnace. that's John 17, the holiness of God joined with the mercy of God in the mystery of God become Son of Man. Genesis 16, the covenant through law under the blessing and the curse, given to a people proved unfaithful, vs. the new covenant grace and truth under love through faith, offered to all people who believe.
meat, IMO, is what Paul gives us in Galatians 4, explaining Genesis 16. He's telling us how the mature in faith understand the scripture. it's what Hebrews is telling us here they want to talk about, but the people they're writing to are hung up on all the other things they need to explain first. like us always being hung up on law vs grace, eternal insecurity or security, timing of the beginning of days or the end of days, baptism, communion, women preaching, yada yada yada -- the same topics over and over. and they just get mired in the same arguments and we never get around to talking about something like what the feast days mean and why they are what they are and what that tells us about who Jesus is and what He's like! you know! you've tried to start those topics and just get called a Judaizer and everyone argues. *sigh* right? ♥
so what this little comment in Hebrews 6 is telling us, is that figuring out how Genesis 14 is a picture of Salvation is meat - what is the allegory; Melchizedek is as God, the type of Christ ((if not Christ Himself!)) - who is Lot? who is Abraham? who is the king of Sodom? the other kings? what do these things represent and teach us about our Lord?
