I’m curious if anyone here has experienced God “speak” to them through their smart phones or computers? I’m 100% certain it has happened to me twice.
The first time my wife decided to go back to school to finish her degree. We just had our fourth child. The classes were much more difficult than she anticipated. When she wasn’t working she was in class or working on assignments. I was working two jobs and doing most of the household chores. Needless to say I was spent, as was she. It all culminated one night erupting in a heated argument. When we were done arguing she returned to the computer to put the finishing touches on a huge paper she had been working on all night. However, the computer was frozen. She called me in to see if I had any ideas other than reboot the system and probably loose the content. She ended up rebooting the computer. When it restarted, the wallpaper or background had changed. This picture was never used as a wallpaper. It was a picture of our four children taken at Easter. Both of our hearts raced. We got the message! God wanted us to focus on our children. Also the content of her assignment was completely restored. She finished up the classes but put off completing her degree, and focussed on being a mom.
Fast forward 14 years. After multiple years of emotional separation and flat out incompatibility, our marriage was exhausting. There are two types of people. Those who are naturally happy until something gets them down, and those who are depressed and ornery unless something cheers them up. I am the former, and my wife is the latter. After 25 years it was getting harder and harder to keep her spirits up and I was done trying. Our youngest was a teen and our oldest in her twenties and I decided to start looking for a house of my own. I told my wife my plans and although it upset her, I don’t think it surprised her. A couple days later I got a notification on my phone. It just made the tone and I looked at it. It was a picture of my wife and I taken on the best night of our vacation in Punta Cana the year before. I thought my wife sent it to me, but she didn’t. It didn’t come from anywhere. It just showed up long enough for me to see it and then disappeared. When I got home that night we obviously had some things to discuss. One being that I was no longer going to be moving out.
These are the only two times any pictures have changed themselves on my devices. My question is; has anyone had similar things happen?
