God created us. When we were babies, did money concern us? When did money become important in our lives? Think back for a moment. When you saw your parents or elders exchange a piece of paper for a product, you realized that paper had value. When did we get attached to money? And if so, to what degree? I examine my heart. Am I keeping God first over money? When you get your paycheck, are you tithing? Do you believe in the tithe? Do you want to honor God with your first tenth of your salary so that His gospel can be preached, his kingdom be expanded? If you earned $10 - the first dollar belongs to Him - He gave you the strength to get up daily and earn your bread.

"Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all its righteousness, then all else shall be added unto you." Like the world's most popular saying, "There's more where that came from."

If you have $5 in your pocket, know this that you are blessed. There are people without a penny starving in this world. To feed the poor, to preach the gospel, takes money.
Money then is a medium of exchange. Nothing more, nothing less. Different nations have different currency - their kings and queens faces on their money bills. For God money means nothing but worthless paper. God is concerned about the poor more than the rich with all their wealth and barns - the Lazarus parable is a clear example. The rich man was condemned to hell, while Lazarus sat in the bosom of Abraham.
God owns the earth and all its minerals, he knows the secret places where valuable treasure is stored. He placed them there. Oil, diamonds, precious metals, stones, everything that man lusts for and kills others to steal and possess is God's. Valuing your relationship with God is more important than money. "For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?"
