Where did I say anything about replacement ? Did you read it ?
You are right that replacement theology is wrong - but you err in that you have no idea who Israel is - there were 12 tribes of Israel and divided. The Northern tribes were called the house of Israel - the southern tribes were called the house of Judah - God divorced the Northern 10 tribes and they became and merged into other nations - losing their Israelite name. They still exist today, but are not known as Israel. Some are part of the church some are not - just like all people - some are part of the church and some reject Christ. That's why we still have the moon and the stars etc

Jeremiah 31:35 Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name:
36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
The context of the passage from v.31 is in the new covenant, ie the "church", but if you think it is about the earthly nation,
Consider this:
The Sun moon and stars did not disappear after 70AD.
They did not reappear in 1948, and will not fade when that nation collapses or gets destroyed.
If you believe in a millennial earthly nation, 1000 years is not 'forever" either.
The correct translation also says "the seed of Israel" which we all know refers to Christ.
Also the "ordinances" of the sun moon and stars refer to natural laws, which God will put in our hearts through the Holy Spirit in the new Covenant.
Jeremiah is comforting the captives and yes, they will see the earthly nation restored.
Jeremiah is also telling them of greater things.
Lets get some context, starting from v.31:
"31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant" We know what that means,
"32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers" so this is not about old covenant Israel.
"which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:" God also divorced old Israel for it's adultery.
"33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people." The indwelling of the Holy Spirit through the kingdom of Jesus.
V.34 " for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more." Definitely New Testament, because under the old covenant sin was remembered for the yearly sacrifice.
"Vs. 35 and 36" Sun moon and stars.
"37 ...the seed of Israel" again refers to Jesus.
"38....from the tower of Hananeel " Interesting mention of that particular tower, because "Hananeel" means "God gives grace".
