more or less godliness?

Do you think today there is more godliness in the world or less than ever? Paul says as the end draws nearer ungodliness will be prevailing and people will show a form of godliness but without power, but at the same time it seems that Jesus is more known than ever: it seems that more people know Jesus (but then thats at least what they claim as it takes time to know a person well). I ask this because i feel it more and more difficult to tell what's what, not long ago the world was more or less divided between catholics and protestants and the latter were "more true", but now with so many denominations and perhaps versions of the gospels i suppose its harder than ever to follow (or agree on) anything apart from God's own Spirit within. do u guys feel likewise or have felt?

And He is arguably more disrespected, and even hated, now than ever. There's an awful lot of vitriol against religion and against God.

To each their own, I suppose. Denominations don't have to be so divisive. I believe that is strictly man's failure/egos/sin.
 
in my post i refer specifically to a form of godliness thats devoid of power, do you guys think, based on your experience, that today there's more of that than before, just compared to before.
 
comparing may not be found to be helpful. see/seek/ simply what GOD'S WORD says....

most people posting the last few years don't seem to have seen a powerful true witness or testimony of yahshua anywhere ever, no 'good' examples such that they know "they have been with Yahweh" and/or "Yahweh dwells with them" -- not in their church, nor anywhere else...
and
at the same time so many posts indicate they haven't even read the Bible, not much if any anyway ... ....

a few have seen. a few have been born again (that's a miracle SURPRISE !)
a few continue in Yahweh's WORD....
 
That depends on what you mean by power.

If "devoid of power" = devoid of truth, or perhaps not zealous, then I would agree that there are a lot of people self identifying as Christians of some sort without being bold in their faith.

If you mean something else, I apologize for the misinterpretation.
 
Without a doubt, there is Less Godliness in the world, but that does not mean that GOD is not equipping His saints and the Holy Spirit is very much alive and well. Even satan knows JESUS and he trembles..the problem is, nobody trembles.
 
Math. 24
