Belgium has 3 official languages. The North (Flanders) speaks Dutch, the South (Wallonia) speaks French, and a tiny part in the East speaks German (only 0.6% of the total population). People in Brussels, at the center of the country, speak mainly French, Dutch and English. Many Belgians are at least bilingual or trilingual as a consequence.
 
@Brenna: Read the last few posts. I try to convince you that Belgium is waaaaay better then Canada :D
 
I had some German in school too, bot not really enough for it to be useful, I only remember random stuff like

ich cin, du bist, er ist, sie ist, es ist, wir sind, sie sind, Sie sind
not even sure if that is correct... been some years :p

yaaay! It wasn't all a waste!

I did find some use for it in Germany though, but I was a bit shocked that even people working in amusement parks refused to speak English

Oh, I see. I'm not a Rammstein fan. It feels a little too dark to me. I don't like dark and scary black metal things. ;)
