Happy Mother's Day! To the women who hold the fabric of the household together. You are a blessing to society for your love and support of your family.

What is the hardest thing about being a mother living in our modern-day culture or society?
 
The best thing is all the giggles and play time!

instilling traditional biblical values in a non traditional, unbiblical world.

One of the saddest moments I can remember was when my daughter was in pre-k, so we're talking 3 1/2 -4 years old.
Hubs and I were not seeing eye to eye on issues, and the kids were picking up on it.
She looked at me and dead serious said something along the lines of "Well, if he doesn't make you happy then why don't we just get a new daddy?" :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
NEVER in my life did I EVER think I would have to explain to someone so young that that wasn't the way God wanted people to treat marriage.

My motto is if it doesn't stink or look dirty, then we are making our 1800s ancestors proud. But my wife will wash something even if it lays on the floor for a while. My method would only make it easier on her.

Wow, that is unfortunately everything they are exposed to in public school. Trying to instill traditional Christian values is a full time job but with public school, it is almost as if moving 3 steps ahead and 2 steps back or worse.

But you are doing the right thing, stay in the fight and keep being awesome!

Well, we homeschool now so that eliminates that problem.....
BUT it creates the issue of making sure they are not so sheltered that they grow up and the real world brings culture shock.
But with everything being so blatant and in the open now they learn about it just from seeing newspapers and magazines in the grocery store........

You almost need to live as a monk or family of monks in a very desolate location to eliminate the indoctrination of the world. I hope to instill in my kids the ability to think critically, how to ask good questions, and always look for the truth.
